Chapter 200
Violet’s POV
I didn’t mean to swallow it.
I was still holding the pill Ava gave me, her voice still lingering
in my ears. “Please. Just try it. It’s Silvermoon Grass pill.”
Olivia had warned me not to. But the scent hit me–something in
it stirred my wolf instantly. My hand moved without thinking,
and before I could stop myself, it was gone.
The effect was fast. My breathing slowed. The tightness across
my chest started to fade. My fingers, which had already begun
to shift into claws, slowly returned to normal. The pulsing
headache dulled to a light throb. My knees still felt weak, but
the unbearable pressure inside me was finally easing.
I exhaled, gripping Olivia’s arm for balance. She looked at me
with disbelief. “You took it?”
“I couldn’t control my wolf from taking it,” I muttered.
Before she could say anything else, we heard a voice–sharp and

unmistakable.
“Violet!”
I looked up just as Asher stormed into the hallway. His

“You witch! What did you do to her?” he barked.
eyes
He moved so quickly, even Olivia flinched. Asher was standing between me and Ava now. “I told you to stay away from her.”
Ava raised her hands, calm but cautious. “I didn’t do anything. I gave her the pill to help-”
“Don’t lie,” he snapped.
I reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling slightly. “Asher, stop.
His focus broke for a second as he looked down at me. “She didn’t hurt me,” I said clearly. “Let’s just go. Please.”
He hesitated, his anger still boiling just under the surface. But
when he saw how pale I must’ve looked, how drained I felt, he
finally nodded.

“Let’s get you back,” he said. He bent slightly, wrapping one arm behind my back, helping me walk.
Back in our chamber, Asher called the doctor immediately. I didn’t argue. I was tired of pretending I could handle this alone.
The doctor arrived within minutes, carrying his bag of supplies and the vial of enchanted blood from my family.
He pressed his fingers gently against my pulse, then lifted my eyelids one at a time. His movements were efficient, but not rushed.
“What you took,” he said, looking at the remnants of the pill Olivia had saved, “is definitely Silvermoon Grass. A very small amount, but potent. That’s why your transformation reversed so quickly!‘
I leaned back against the cushions, watching him carefully.
“Would a full dose cure it?” Asher asked from the side.
The doctor paused. “If the powder had such an immediate effect, a complete plant might very well be enough to break the curse completely. But!”

“But what?”
“This level of effectiveness suggests your condition has
progressed. The blood curse is spreading faster now. The wolf is
more aggressive than before.”
I swallowed hard.
Asher stood silent. His hand hovered near mine, not quite
touching, but close.
I nodded slowly. “Thank you, Doctor.“”
He packed up quietly and left us alone.
My eyes stayed fixed on the door after he left. I could feel Asher
watching me, but I didn’t speak right away.
“That pill,” I murmured, “means I might have to share you.”
Asher didn’t say anything.
I knew he didn’t want to agree with Jason. Neither did I. But the truth sat between us like a growing shadow.
Later that day, there was a quiet knock at the door.

“Come in,” I said.
The door creaked open and a young maid stepped inside,
carrying a small tray with a glass of magical blood. Her hands
were visibly unsteady. She didn’t look up–not even once.
She walked straight to the table and set the tray down
carefully, though the glass clinked louder than it should have.
Her shoulders were stiff, and her body was angled slightly
away from me, like she was bracing for something.
I watched her for a moment. “What’s your name?”
She hesitated. “Lina, my lady.”
She still didn’t raise her head.
“You’re shaking,” I said quietly. “Why?”
Lina shifted her weight. “I. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to-” She
finally looked at me, just for a second. “They’ve been saying
things, about what happened with Princess Ava.”
My stomach tightened.
“They said you lost control. That you scratched her,” she added,
barely above a whisper. “And. that the curse is spreading.”

I nodded slowly. “I see.”
“I didn’t want to believe it,” Lina said quickly, as if trying to
undo her words. “I really didn’t. But people are scared, my lady.
They talk in the halls.”
I kept my voice steady. “You can go.””
She didn’t wait. The moment she stepped back, she turned and
left, closing the door behind her as gently as possible, though I
still heard it latch.
I leaned back into the pillows. My arms crossed over my
stomach protectively.
All I’d ever done was fight for this pack. For our child. For
peace.
And now, they were afraid of me.
Not all of them, maybe. But enough.
I sat there in silence for a while. Then I called in the guards and
ordered that only the most essential servants be allowed to
stay. The rest were to return to their homes until further
