Violet’s POV

“The meeting with Alpha Jason isn’t just about politics,” Asher

said, his voice low but filled with hope. “If the Silvermoon Grass

works. it could change everything. For us, for the baby–for

everyone.”

He was sitting beside me, surrounded by our family. For the

first time in days, there was a flicker of something brighter in

his voice.

“But until then, we need to calm things down outside,” Asher

mentioned, placing his hand on mine. He glanced at my mother,

then at the others in the room. “Rumors about the curse are

spreading. People are starting to talk.”

There was a quiet pause before he added, “I’ve decided to

arrange a celebration. Something to shift the attention. We’ll

welcome the bear clan properly–and give the pack a reason to feel normal again.”

Everyone agreed. It was a good idea. A distraction we all

needed.

Soon, the palace was alive with movement. Decorations went

up in the halls, fresh flowers were brought in, and the scent of

food began to fill the air. For the first time in days, the pack felt

less tense–like things might finally start turning around.

I spent most of the day with Olivia, finalizing plans. She

handled the flower arrangements, while I managed the seating

and formalities. Though my body still felt tired from

everything, my wolf remained calm for now. I hoped it would

last.

By late afternoon, Asher found me in the courtyard, holding a

small bouquet of white gardenias. “For you,” he said quietly,

stepping forward.

I took them with a soft smile. “They’re beautiful.”

His hand brushed mine for a second before he moved to stand

beside me. The courtyard was full of energy. Children were

playing tag under the tree shade, Mia included. She ran past us,

embroidery, elegant but not overdone. Asher chose a deep

black suit trimmed in gold–fitting for the Alpha King.

He looked composed, even if I could still see the weariness in his

eyes. He didn’t say anything about it, just offered me his arm,

ready to face the evening.

When Alpha Jason arrived, there was no grand announcement.

He walked in with his warriors, nodding politely to the guards,

his steps steady and sure.

He was a broad–shouldered man, dressed in a dark green cloak

Jason’s eyes moved toward me briefly, giving a small nod.

I returned the gesture, offering a slight smile. But something about his look held more than just respect. There was curiosity in it, maybe even suspicion. I wondered how much he already

Philip was already ready. He stepped forward without needing to be called, Olivia, seated not far from me, stiffened slightly.
