Chapter129
I studied them, my instincts conflicted. They exuded warmth
and kindness, but I had learned long ago never to judge solely
by appearance. I wasn’t ready to trust so easily.
Asher then added, “I also asked them to babysit Mia while we
are out.”
I froze. “You want me to leave my daughter with people we just
met?” I sent him a sharp mind–link, my jaw tightening.
“I know them, and I trust them,” he answered back smoothly,
but I wasn’t convinced.
I narrowed my eyes at him. “And just how well do you know
them?” I questioned.
He grinned. “Jealous?” he teased through the mind–link,
“Fuck you.”
“No need to rush. That’s happening later, Angel,” he responded
smugly. I rolled my eyes, but my lips twitched.
Turning back to Nihan and Burcu, I forced a polite smile.

“Please reach out if anything happens. I’ve been anxious about
Mia, especially after Isaac, and I don’t want-”
“You don’t have to worry, Queen Violet,” Burcu cut in
reassuringly. “We will take the utmost care of the princess.”
I let out a slow breath and nodded. Deep down, I still wasn’t
entirely comfortable, but I had to trust Asher’s judgment.
He took my hand and led me away, tugging me along gently. To
my surprise, instead of heading out through the front entrance,
he guided me toward the back door. A secret path, perhaps?
Hand in hand, we walked through a dimly lit garden. The night
sky stretched above us, glittering with stars. The air was crisp,
carrying the faint scent of roses.
“It’s beautiful,” I murmured, taking it all in.
Asher, however, wasn’t looking at the sky. His eyes were fixed
on me. “You’re the most beautiful thing here,” he said without
hesitation.
I huffed out a laugh, giving him a playful shove. “I was talking about the stars, you dork!”
He grinned, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me

closer, his lips grazing my forehead. “My idea of a perfect date
would be a candlelit dinner with roses,” I remarked, glancing
around at the forest path he was leading me through.
He smirked. “Patience, sweetheart.”
As we walked deeper into the trees, small glowing lanterns
came into view, strung up between the branches. A warm
golden light illuminated the pathway, casting an enchanting
glow on the surroundings. My breath caught as I took in the
sight.
This is. incredible,” I whispered, unable to find the right words.
Flowers lined the pathway, leading to a small clearing where
hundreds of candles flickered, arranged in the shape of words.
I stepped closer, my heart hammering as I read the message
they formed:
No matter what we’ve faced, through every challenge and triumph, you remain my forever, my greatest love.
I turned to look at Asher, emotions swelling in my chest. Life had been cruel, taking more from us than it had given, but it had also given us the most precious thing–each other.
Chapter 129
He stepped forward, his eyes burning with sincerity. “Back
then, everyone wanted to be near me because of my status.
They were drawn to my title, wary of my power. But you? You
loved me for who I was. You didn’t care that I was set to be
Alpha. You gave me moments of normalcy, even when our
world was anything but normal. I fell in love with you before I
even knew what love was. And I know I’m not perfect. I will
make mistakes, but I promise, no one will ever love you the
way I do.”
His voice dropped lower, steady and filled with unwavering
devotion. “I love you now. I will love you tomorrow. I will love
you forever!
My vision blurred with unshed tears as I smiled at him.
And in that moment, nothing else mattered. It was just us,
