Chapter107
I scanned them, reading their expressions before responding. “I
assume this isn’t just a social visit.”
Simon explained. “They’re from our own ranks, and they heard
about what happened. They want to help, if they can.“”
I studied their faces. They looked sincere and eager. One of
them, a tall woman with braided hair, stepped forward.
“My name is Yara,” she said quietly, “and these are Luca, Simon,
and Paul. We’ve served in the Royal Pack for a while now, and
we want to do whatever we can to protect it. We heard that
Alpha Asher is missing, and we know there’s trouble with
Michael. We just want to help you get through this.”
“We want to help however we can,” Luca added. “Just don’t
shut us out.”
Their words caught me off guard. They barely knew me, yet
they were here, offering support.
I offered them a small nod. “Thank you. I can’t say things are
going well, but I appreciate the support. Even though Asher

isn’t here, I’m still responsible for all of you, and I plan to do my
duty. Let me know if there’s anything you need from me, and
I’ll do the same.”
They each gave a bow or a nod of respect. I could sense how
much Asher’s absence weighed on everyone, but it was good to
see at least some people hadn’t lost faith.
After they left, I pulled Simon aside.
“Did Jayden or Philip send them?” I asked in a stern voice.
Simon shook his head. “No, they came on their own. Word
travels fast around here, and everyone knows things are bad. A
few loyal wolves want to lend you their strength. They don’t
want to see the Royal Pack fall apart just because Asher isn’t
around right now!”
I breathed out, trying to steady my racing heart. “Well, I’m
thankful. We’ll need all the help we can get.”
Simon nodded solemnly. Then he cleared his throat. “Speaking
of which. can we go to the dungeon now? Philip and Jayden are
already there with Kylie, and I think you should see what’s
going on.”
I snorted. “I have a feeling this is coming.”
Chapter107
With Simon leading the way, we descended the winding steps to the dungeon. The air was chilly, and the smell of damp stone and bitter regret seemed to cling to the walls. I could hear
murmuring voices even before we reached Kylie’s cell.
I had little patience left, and if she thought she could outlast me,
she was wrong.
Philip and Jayden were standing in front of the bars, looking
upset and uneasy. The moment they noticed me, a doctor came
scurrying out, his expression a blend of fear and concern. He
spotted me and quickly bowed his head.
“Your Majesty,” he began, his voice trembling slightly. “I was
sent for. well, actually, I was told to wait for your permission.
Should I examine her now?”
“The doctor won’t treat Kylie without your say–so. Hurry and
