“An hour ago, Marie boarded a plane. And I believe she is out of the country now,” he said slowly as he noticed that Elaina was getting angry.

He did not want to go against Elaina’s wishes, but then again, he had to protect Marie.

Elaina, furious with Jalen, started to launch an attack on him right away. “Jalen! You are courting death!”

Noticing that, Jalen dodged it quickly.

“Calm down…”

Before Jalen could finish his words, Elaina had already launched another attack again. Every attack on him

was full-on and ruthless.

Elaina thought, calm down?

Well, I can’t!

Just like that, the two got into a fight in the small living room, which lasted many rounds.

Of course, most of the time, Jalen was dodging Elaina and did not actually attack her.

“I know.” Jalen nodded. “Since you are so skilled, how did those three manage to catch you?”

Elaina was silent. She had not had the time to investigate that matter yet.

And also thanks to Marcus, who “helped” drug Elaina, Marie’s people could then catch Elaina.

“I can help you deal with the Lory family,” noticing that Elaina was deep in thought, Jalen spoke. “You know

the Lory family is way stronger than the Dunston family, right?”

Elaina glanced at him and said coldly, “No need.”

“Do you think I will forgive Marie just because you told me this? Don’t even think about it!” How could Elaina

not know what Jalen was planning? She would not let him have his way.

Jalen smiled bitterly, but there was nothing he could do. Since Marie had done something wrong and he needed to protect Marie, it was only understandable that Elaina would dislike Marie and him altogether.

He wanted to say something more, but Elaina stared at him and said, “Marie has run away. This is you to blame.”

“Elaina…”

“Let’s hope I don’t have something on you in the future. Otherwise, I will take care of you as well,” she said coldly.
