Chapter 246
Elaina understood what Jalen was talking about, but she still felt uncomfortable. “Maybe. I just can’t accept this change for a while.”
“Take it slow. It’s fine if you are more open-minded,” Jalen said.
After cleaning up the dishes, Elaina was a little tired. Looking at Jalen, who had not planned to leave, she asked, “Why aren’t you leaving?”
“It’s so late. Aren’t you going to keep me for the night?” Jalen said with a smile.
“What do you think?” Elaina raised her eyebrows and clenched her fists, as if she was going to hit him in the next second.
Seeing this, Jalen hurriedly retreated and said, “I was just joking. I am leaving now.”
As he spoke, Jalen had already walked towards the door. Seeing this, Elaina felt a little apologetic. “If you don’t want to go back to the Halton’s Residence, you can live in the opposite door. I didn’t want you to move away before.”
When she said this, Elaina felt regretful. why should I say this to him? Do I want to see him every day? Elaina thought.
Jalen did not know what she was thinking. When he heard this, he immediately smiled, “Really? I live across your door. You won’t move away, right?”
“Why should I move away? I bought this house. I can live here,” she said.
Hearing her say this, Jalen was relieved. “That’s good. Then I will move back later. After all, this place is quite close to the company.”
More importantly, he could see Elaina every day and even eat and chat with her. It would improve their relationship.
“Just go. I’m going to sleep. You can stay wherever you want.” Elaina waved at him and pretended not to see Jalen’s smile.
This time, Jalen really left. Hearing the sound of the door opening, Elaina almost suspected that Jalen had planned to move back. Otherwise, why would he have the key?
The car stopped. Jenica tried her best to calm herself down. She pushed open the door and walked over.
Looking at Quincy in front of her, Jenica felt a faint pain in her heart, but she did not show it. Instead, she asked coldly, “What are you doing here?”
“I came to see you,” Quincy said.
“Came to see me? To see how I am after I leave you?” Jenica seemed to have heard a joke.
“If you want to see me live a miserable life, then you are disappointed. I’m pretty well after I leave you.”
Although everything that happened now was not what she had expected at first, and even though she still loved him, Jenica was free.
She was never an accessory to anyone, even the ones she loved.
“You seem to hate me?” Quincy smoked a cigarette. Looking at Jenica, who was so cold to him, he felt unspeakably uncomfortable
