Jalen’s question stumped Elaina. She thought of a few addresses in her mind, but she felt that they were not appropriate.

“I think Mr. Halton is good,” Elaina said with an awkward smile.

Jalen’s expression changed slightly. He thought that Elaina should be able to make a better decision after thinking for so long, but the result was disappointing.

Seeing that he was about to get angry, Elaina quickly said, “Jalen.”

“Yes.” Jalen nodded. Although he was not satisfied, he could only do so.

The car sped forward and soon arrived at the restaurant that Alisha had ordered. Jalen and Elain got out of the car and walked in together.

Elaina noticed that there were four sets of tableware on the table. Alisha did not lie. She really guessed that Jalen would come.

Jalen and Elain sat down. Alisha asked the waiter to serve the dishes and then said, “Jalen, don’t worry. Actually, I treated Ms. Gainsford to dinner today just to apologize for all my previous mistakes.

“In the past, I did target Ms. Gainsford deliberately because I liked you. But now, I am married, and I like Deven very much. In the future, I will not pester you or target Ms. Gainsford anymore.”

Alisha said it sincerely. Elaina did not know what Jalen was thinking, yet she did not believe a single word Alisha had said.

She didn’t expose Alisha’s lie as Alisha’s sincerity couldn’t be ignored. Since Alisha pretended to be reasonable, Elaina didn’t mind acting with her.

However, after she drugged Jalen, all the wealthy families avoided Alisha. In such a situation, Deven was willing to marry her, and it was obviously out of true love.
