Falling For My Mysterious Wife by Cassidy Alfaro novel Chapter 126

Chapter 126

“That may be true. But we’ll get to know each other better given time, won’t we?” Jaydon didn’t mind her words and continued driving.

Elaina didn’t say anything more. She didn’t take Jaydon’s words seriously, and she didn’t think they would become close.

Shortly after, Jaydon stopped the car at the door of a restaurant, and they walked in together.

Not far away from the restaurant, Graham got out of the car and saw them entering the restaurant.

He was a little surprised.

He thought, didn’t Mr. Halton say he was going to ask Elaina out for dinner tonight? Where is he?

Why is Elaina with another man?

After hesitating for a moment, he decided to call Jalen.

In the private room, Jaydon poured wine for Elaina and said to her with a smile, “Have some, will you?”

“I don’t drink.” Elaina shook her head.

Although Elaina was very confident in her skills, after what happened last time, she realized that excellent skills didn’t make her omnipotent, so she remained cautious while she was out.

Jaydon did not insist. He ordered some beverages for her. She nodded, took it over, and put it on the table. She wasn’t going to drink it.

“Ella, do you have to be so wary? You behave like you think I’m a bad person.” Jaydon pulled a wry face and thought, do I look like a bad guy?

Elaina smiled, “Don’t take it personally, Mr. Becker. It’s just a habit. I hope you can understand.”

“Sure.” Jaydon nodded. What difference did it make even if he didn’t understand?

The reason why Elaina agreed to have dinner with Jaydon tonight wasn’t just for food. She asked,

Elaina was slightly surprised. She always felt that the Becker family had ulterior motives, so she was very vigilant against them. But now it seemed that she worried too much.

She felt helpless. She thought, what Grandpa said to me on his deathbed affects me deeply. I always feel that someone wants to do me harm.

She took a deep breath and said with a smile, “I see. Mr. Becker, you should have told me earlier. I was so close to getting the wrong idea.”

“It’s kind of an embarrassing thing to say, isn’t it? He never convinces me.” If words got out, others might think that Zayden was anxious about finding him a wife.

Elaina chuckled and raised her glass. “Here’s to you. I apologize for offending you earlier.”

She believed in Jaydon’s words. For one thing, her grandfather said that the Becker family could be trusted. For another, after these days, she didn’t think Jaydon was an indecent guy.

“It’s fine. I understand.” Jaydon also raised his glass. He was in a good mood. He thought, looks like I got Elaina’s trust.

Sure enough. Being honest is the most correct way when dealing with smart people.
