Falling For My Ex's Dad (Clarissa and Gabriel) novel Chapter 240

Gabriel’s POV

Clairessa’s head tipped back slowly against my shoulder, lips parted, breath shallow. I felt the tremble in her body press into mine.

“Gabriel…” she whispered. “Do you really mean that? Because if this ends… if you walk away again, I won’t survive it. I can’t go through what happened before. I can’t relive that.”

Immediately, I turned her gently, forcing her to look at me.

Her eyes were glassy, vulnerable as she searched mine.

“I’m not walking away,” I assured her softly. “This is real. I’m real. And I will fight until my last breath to make sure you know that.”

I drew her closer, my arm firm around her waist.

Then I leaned in and kissed her—slow, certain, and full of everything I didn’t have the words to say.

Her breath hitched.

“Does that feel real to you?” I asked, brushing my lips against hers.

She shook her head faintly. “I don’t know.”

I kissed her again. Harder this time. Her hands tangled in my shirt, clutching and needing me.

My mouth took hers, passionately devouring every last wall she tried to hide behind.

When I pulled back, her eyes were wide, her breathing ragged.

“You’re... a little convincing,” she whispered.

I smirked. “A little?”

She gave a soft, nervous laugh. “Maybe try harder.”

I grinned darkly, a primal desire stirring within me. With one swift motion, I lifted her into my arms like she weighed nothing.

Her legs locked around my waist, her hands wrapped around my neck.

And her mouth found mine again—hot and delicious.

I carried her to the bed, never breaking the kiss. My hands gripped her thighs tightly, possessively, as I laid her down against the sheets and stepped back to look at her.

She stared up at me with that same soft affection that always undid me. But beneath it, I could see the hint of fear.

That silent doubt of whether she could trust me again. Whether I’d break her heart again.

She didn’t understand yet, this wasn’t about lust.

This was a deeper desire, burning so hot inside me I thought I’d explode if I didn’t show her, with every kiss and every breath, just how much I loved her.

I wanted to take it all away.

All her doubts. All her pain.

And replace it with only me.

My fingers reached for the remaining buttons on my shirt and unfastened them, never breaking our gaze.

I wanted her to see me, strip myself down, bare everything.

Then I reached for my belt, slid it free, and pushed off my slacks and boxers until I stood naked above her.

She didn’t look away.

I leaned over her, muscles tight, eyes devouring her.

“Let me show you just how much you mean to me,” I whispered.

My lips found hers again, gentle at first, then deeper, slower, until she was breathless. Until she was trembling beneath me.

I trailed down her neck, leaving wet, open kisses along the curve of her throat, tasting the salt of her skin, marking her as mine. Her head tilted back, chest rising fast, hands twisted in the sheets.

Then I reached the tie of her robe and tugged it loose.

“Look at me,” I rasped.

She did. Her eyes were wide, pupils blown. Waiting.

“I love you,” I confessed, my voice low and raw. “Every inch of you. Every fucking piece.”

I slid the robe from her shoulders, revealing that red silk lingerie I’d fantasized about since the moment I bought it for her.

She adjusted slightly, shyly—but I didn’t let her hide.

My lips curved.

“You wore this for me?”

Her breath hitched. “Being presumptuous again?”

“I am,” I muttered darkly, my lips brushing her collarbone. “You have no idea what you do to me.”

I dragged my gaze down her body, slowly and greedily over her breasts, the swell of her waist, the soft curve of her hips, the trembling part of her thighs.
