Falling For My Ex's Dad (Clarissa and Gabriel) novel Chapter 226

Gabriel's POV

I dragged Clairessa out of that godforsaken dining room, through a side corridor, past the fancy walls and expensive decor.

I just needed to take her somewhere secluded.

My hand gripped hers tighter than I meant to, but she didn’t pull away.

The moment we turned the corner and found a dim, quiet space hidden just beyond the hall, I spun her around and pinned her to the wall.

“Gabriel,” she gasped, palms pressed to my chest, trying to push me back. “What are you doing?”

I didn’t let her. I caught one of her wrists, raised it, pinned it above her head, and pressed my body into hers so she’d feel what she was doing to me.

“One more damn second at that table without being able to touch you, and I would’ve lost my goddamn mind.”

Her eyes widened—part shock, part desire. “You can’t. People could see…”

“I don’t give a fuck.”

I leaned in, brushing my lips against hers, not a kiss, just teasing her.

My other hand dragged down her back, found her waist, and yanked her closer into the full length of my arousal.

“I’ve been wanting to do this all night,” I murmured.

Then I kissed her. Deep. Hungry. Reckless.

She didn’t kiss back at first—God, she tried to resist. But then, her gasp melted into my mouth, and for a second, just a second, she kissed me back like she’d never stopped needing me.

Fuck. That taste.

I couldn’t stop.

I didn’t want to.

My lips trailed down her neck, pressing wet, desperate kisses along her throat.

She shivered under me, her soft moan making my cock throb harder against the tight fabric of my pants.

“This is too risky,” she breathed, half moan, half protest. “We can’t. Nicole’s in there—Adrian—”

I ignored every name she mentioned.

My tongue slid across the swell of her breasts, my hand gripping tighter at her hip. Then I pulled back just enough to meet her gaze.

“Fuck Nicole,” I growled. “Fuck everyone. I want you.”

She turned her head, trying to breathe, to think.

“Why are you fighting this?” I asked, breath ragged. “Why are you denying what’s between us?”

“I’m not denying anything,” she snapped. “But this? This is dangerous.”

I cupped her jaw and tilted her face back toward me. “And I thrive in danger.”

My lips grazed her ear. “Just let me love you, baby…”

My hips ground into her, letting her feel just how hard I was for her. Just how much I needed her at that moment.

And God, when she moaned… when her hips moved in rhythm with mine.

I lost it.

She matched my hunger, arching into me, her body giving me every silent yes I needed.

My grip loosened from her wrist. Her arms wound around my neck and pulled me in for a kiss. This time, she gave it to me.

Hot. Wild. Unfiltered.

Her lips crushed mine like she needed this more than air.

And then?

We heard footsteps and voices getting closer.

Clairessa shoved me back, hard.

I stumbled a step, raking both hands through my hair like a fucking lunatic.

I didn’t want to stop. God, I didn’t want to stop. But she was right. We had to. For now.

She adjusted her hair quickly, cheeks flushed, muttering curses under her breath.

“Clairessa.”

“Goddammit, Gabriel,” she muttered, brushing past me.

I reached for her again. “Clairessa..”

“Don’t even think about it,” she hissed, eyes burning. “I will not have people thinking I’m your whore who slept her way through this damn project.”

I stepped into her space again, grabbed her wrist, pulling her just enough to make her look at me.

“They won’t think that,” I said, my voice low and rough. “They’ll know the truth. That you’re the woman who captured my fucking heart and turned this stone-cold bastard into a man who’d burn the world down just to feel your lips again.”

Her eyes flashed. She yanked her hand from mine.

“You’re insane.”

And she walked away.

I wanted to go after her.

Pull her back.

Make her admit it—that she wanted me just as badly.

But not here. Not yet.

So I straightened my jacket and told myself to take a breather.

I needed air—just a minute away from the noise, away from the heat burning under my skin.
