Ex Cried as I Wed a Tycoon novel Chapter 359

Mitchell froze, his whole body tensing as he slowly looked up at Suzan.

He’d only meant to glance at her, but the moment their eyes met, a jolt shot through him—heat tightening in his belly, his senses suddenly alive. It was as if he’d been bewitched.

Stiffly, he got to his feet and started toward Suzan.

Suzan played along, swaying her hips as she walked over to him, her voice dripping with flirtation. “Mitchell, darling.”

Mitchell reached her in two strides and pulled her into his arms.

He inhaled deeply; there was something unusual, almost intoxicating, about her scent, and it drew him in completely.

“You smell incredible,” Mitchell murmured, his voice rough with desire.

Suzan giggled, rising on tiptoe to nuzzle against him.

Just as Mitchell was about to lose control, his hand brushed against Suzan’s stomach.

He paused, going rigid, and pushed her back a little.

Suzan looked up at him, eyes hazy with longing. “What’s wrong?” she murmured sweetly.

Mitchell’s gaze dropped to her rounded belly, and suddenly any desire he’d felt vanished. Frustrated, he raked a hand through his hair. “Do you… do you even realize your situation right now?”

Suzan only pressed closer, her voice low and sultry. “It’s fine. I asked—they said after the third month, it’s safe…”

Mitchell’s interest sparked again. “Are you sure?”

Suzan nodded, slipping her robe open just enough to reveal her curves.

Mitchell’s eyes darkened. He lost control, pulling Suzan down with him, intent on making her his right then and there.

Suddenly, hurried footsteps echoed down the hall.

“What happened? Is my grandson okay?” Adeline rushed over, her voice tight with worry.

Mitchell bit his lip, shaking his head helplessly. “I don’t know. She said her stomach hurt, and then there was blood…”

Adeline frowned, her worry quickly turning to frustration. “It must be Suzan’s carelessness. She never—”

Her words trailed off as she caught sight of the love bites on Mitchell’s neck. Her eyes narrowed, and her tone grew sharp. “Did you cheat on her, and she found out? I told you, this is not the time—you need to control yourself! Wait until after she gives birth. If anything happens now, I swear—”

“Mom,” Mitchell interrupted, his voice strained. “Enough. It was me and Suzan… today.”

“What?!” Adeline’s eyes widened in shock, her hand shooting up as if to slap him—though she stopped herself at the last second. “Are you out of your mind? You know she’s pregnant, and you still—”

Mitchell stared at her, helpless. “It wasn’t my fault. She came on to me, said it was safe now, that we could… I just—”
