"Are you doing okay?"
"Dr. Chris..."
Sylvia and Chris Lennon spoke almost at the same time.
Seeing Sylvia, Chris was clearly flustered. He dropped his phone on the floor as he scrambled to lock the screen.
He quickly picked it up, clicking his tongue, "You scared me."
Sylvia had never seen him like this and found it strange, "Who are you video calling? Being so secretive."
"Just a patient. I have to protect patient privacy," Chris emphasized.
Sylvia didn't ask further and changed the subject, "I heard you've been checking up on me. Thanks."
"We're friends, it's normal to care." Chris checked the time. "Have you eaten? Want to eat together? I ordered some food to be delivered."
Just as he spoke, someone knocked on the door.
"Dr. Chris, your food is here."
The staff from the small restaurant near the hospital placed the packaged food on the table.
Chris paid and invited Sylvia to sit down.
"Braised carp, try it."
Hearing carp, Sylvia looked at the fish tank nearby.
It had finally been changed back to the old ornamental fish.
"Ate them all?" Sylvia couldn't help but laugh.
"Zion ate the most happily, unfortunately Orson didn't get to taste it..."
As he spoke, Chris realized he had misspoken.
He quickly covered it up, "Let's eat first."
He opened the bags and set the dishes on the table.
Sylvia figured she was going to cook at home anyway, so she might as well eat with Chris.
She would order him a coffee later as a thank you.
As she handed out the bowls, Chris opened the lid of the braised carp, and a strong smell wafted up.
Sylvia immediately frowned.
"What's wrong?" Chris asked.
"Did they cook it wrong? The smell is a bit off." Sylvia rubbed her nose.
