"Don't you dare insult my goddess, you'll see if I don't make you regret it."
Quintessa took a couple of steps, then stopped, turning around to say, "And another thing, I'll remember this. I'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Tyrone. And...thanks, Uncle, for this...unique concern. Not every uncle harbors such...intriguing thoughts towards their niece. You're looking for a thrill, but I'm not here to entertain such chaos."
Andrew's face turned as dark as if he’d been sprayed with ink, his gaze cold and sinister, exuding a chill that made people steer clear.
Molly glared at Andrew with fiery eyes.
As they got into the car, Molly vented, "Andrew, that jerk, sis, just you wait, I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind."
Quintessa just snorted coldly, "Him? He's just trying to humiliate me. Let's see if he'd dare do anything if it actually came down to it."
She knew Andrew was just trying to pick a fight, without any real intent beyond wanting to see her flustered. Such words were nothing new to Quintessa and didn't hurt her.
"Forget about him, the more attention you give to people like him, the more excited they get."
Molly gritted her teeth, unable to accept it. Andrew was just too detestable.
That night, Tyrone called Quintessa again. He had wanted to rush over that very night, but an emergency at the company held him back, so his visit to see Quintessa was postponed.
Quintessa initially wanted to tell Tyrone that Andrew was in Havenbrook, but hearing how busy he was, she decided to let it be for now.
She'd tell Tyrone when he was less swamped.
...
Quintessa fell asleep, and next door, Molly woke up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep.
