Echoes Of a Forsaken Heart (Natalia and Hamilton) novel Chapter 248

Thankfully, Killian's driving skills were top-notch.

With a swift maneuver, he swerved the car out of harm's way.

And the oncoming driver, it seemed, had no real intention of crashing, stopping just over three feet away.

Then, from the other car, Patrick emerged, his face a mess of bruises and anger.

Patrick hadn't actually planned to crash. He wasn't that reckless. He just wanted to see Natalia.

After Natalia had barred him from setting foot in Ron Group, his only option was to intercept her here.

Upon seeing Patrick, Natalia's expression soured.

Killian glanced at Natalia, concern evident. "Ms. Jenkins, are you alright?"

Natalia nodded. "And you?"

"I'm fine, don't worry about me."

"Listen, Natalia, I need to talk to you," Patrick's voice carried into the car.

Killian frowned, "I'll go and send him away."

Once outside, Patrick suddenly yelled, "Natalia, do you want to know the truth about your mother?"

Natalia's expression turned icy. After a moment's hesitation, she stepped out of the car.

"What do you know, Patrick?"

"I need to talk to you alone!"

Despite her reluctance, Natalia finally instructed, "Killian, wait for me in the car."

Killian was worried but returned to the car, knowing the area was under surveillance, which would limit Patrick's actions.

"Ms. Jenkins, stay safe," he said before leaving.

Once alone, Natalia demanded, "What do you know?"

Patrick sneered, "I know who was responsible for your mother’s downfall."

Natalia was stunned. "You're saying someone was after my mother?"

"I found your mother being chased, fell off a cliff, and I saved her. Sadly, she lost her memory when she woke," Patrick said with a mocking tone.

Natalia was taken aback, "Who was after her?"

Patrick laughed, "Why would I tell you? The Schafer Group is nearly bankrupt because of you, and you expect me to spill everything unless you compensate me for my losses, I'll take it to my grave!"

Natalia laughed, realizing Patrick's true motive.

Did Patrick genuinely hold the key to her mother Tatiana's past?

Her skepticism grew. If he truly knew, would he have allowed Eveleen to be sent away?

"You really know what happened to my mother?"

"Of course," Patrick's gaze flickered.

After a tense moment, Natalia proposed, "Tell me, and I'll release Schafer Pharma."

Patrick's face turned sour, "Why should I trust you?"

With a swift kick, Killian sent Patrick sprawling.

"Mess with Ms. Jenkins again, and I won't be so polite next time."

Natalia, trying to hold back her tears, got into the car.

Killian glanced at her in the rearview mirror. "Ms. Jenkins? Are you alright?"

Natalia, swallowing her turmoil, nodded.

"I'm fine."

Seeing she wasn't keen on talking, Killian didn't press further.

"Just ignore whatever he said, alright?"

Their conversation hadn't been loud, and Killian hadn't caught it all, but he did gather that they were talking about Natalia's mother.

Natalia nodded, her heart aching not for herself, but for Tatiana.

The jewelry she had carried back then indicated a wealthy background, yet her life had been nothing short of tragic.

Natalia took a moment to compose herself before taking out her phone and calling the legal department of Ron Group.

She was determined to get back everything Patrick owed them, both past and present.

Patrick, watching Natalia's car drive away, picked himself up from the ground somewhat embarrassingly.

After a moment of thought, he decided to make a phone call.
