Echoes Of a Forsaken Heart (Natalia and Hamilton) novel Chapter 227

Hamilton carried Natalia out of the room, his arms wrapped protectively around her.

Killian was hot on his heels, calling out, "Mr. Fowler, Mr. Henkel."

Victor, who had been kicked nearly senseless by Hamilton, was finally coming around.

He managed a scoff despite the pain.

"Hamilton, are you seriously going to throw down with me over a woman? Don't forget, our families go way back!"

Hamilton's expression was as cold as ice. He stepped forward and kicked Victor out of the way, his shoe pressing down hard on Victor's throat.

"What did you drug her with?"

Victor's eyes widened in fear.

He realized Hamilton wasn't messing around.

"Hamilton, you're really going to do this over a woman?"

With more force, Hamilton pressed down, and Victor felt a terrifying chokehold.

"What did you drug her with!" Hamilton repeated sternly.

Victor's face turned beet red as he struggled for air.

"Got it from the black market. No antidote. It'll fry her brain if left unchecked."

A flash of pain crossed Hamilton's eyes. He tightened his grip around Natalia, then, in a burst of fury, kicked the lying Victor away.

"Keep an eye on him. I'll deal with him personally later," he said, then turned his red eyes to Ronin.

"Mr. Joyner, could you check the room for any hidden cameras or mics? Victor's known for his wild parties. Don't want any footage leaking."

Ronin clenched his teeth, his gaze fixed on Natalia in Hamilton's arms.

"Hamilton, you better not touch her, you hear me!"

Hamilton paused but didn't respond, continuing to carry Natalia out of the room.

Inside the elevator, Natalia became restless from the drug's torment, seeking comfort in Hamilton's embrace.

"It's so hot. I feel awful," she murmured, rubbing against him.

Her scent, mingled with the drug, made Hamilton's desire surge.

He looked down at her with eyes dark with need.

"Natalia, stop moving. Be good," he said, his voice husky.

But Natalia couldn't control her actions.

By the time they reached their suite, Natalia was all over him.

Hamilton hesitated for a moment before pulling her close and kissing her deeply.

He hated himself for it.

He had considered using questionable methods to have Natalia by his side again, but he never wanted it to be like this.

Yet, given the circumstance, he'd rather she hate him later than not act at all.

Hamilton touched her gently, his desires growing.

"Natalia, can I help you feel better?"

But Natalia was beyond comprehension.

In the bathroom, amidst the sound of tearing fabric and the splash of hot water, their desires clashed fiercely.

Hamilton, seeing the marks on her from Victor's abuse, felt his rage overtake his lust.

"Damn it! I'll kill Victor myself," Ronin swore.

Hamilton's gaze was stormy as he spoke, "In Silkwood City, Mr. Joyner would do well to tread lightly. The Henkel family has considerable clout, and the Ron Group has just set foot here. If you don't want to get into trouble, you'd better play it straight."

"To hell with that, I'll do as I damn well please. Worse comes to worst, I'll just ditch this gig in Silkwood City!"

With that, he hung up the phone.

Killian stared at the disconnected call, speechless. He hadn't even gotten around to reporting back.

But it was clear Ronin was too furious to think straight.

"Mr. Joyner, try to keep your cool," Killian attempted.

"Cool? My cool's long gone, Killian! How could you stay cool if your girl was drugged and then bitten by a damn dog?"

Killian frowned. Honestly, he couldn't argue with that. But he really didn't want Ronin confronting Victor right now.

Who knew what might happen if things got out of hand?

"Why don't you wait and go with Mr. Fowler?" he suggested.

"I don't need him!"

With that, Ronin stormed off.

Killian quickly dialed Hamilton.

"Mr. Fowler, Victor's locked up in the old mansion's cellar. Mr. Joyner's already on his way."

Hamilton, standing by the window with a cigarette in hand, merely grunted in response.

He hung up, then turned from the window.

After dressing, he glanced at the woman sleeping in his bed, leaned down for a quick kiss, and then left.
