Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 468

Selene paused, standing where she was, watching the man before her—Adrian Shaw, poised and magnetic, effortlessly commanding the space around him.

Adrian glanced up at her, the sunlight spilling over his shoulders as he flashed her an easy, lopsided grin.

“Why are you standing so far away from me?”

Selene took a step toward him, her tone light and teasing. “Just wanted a good look at you.”

He leaned forward, closing the gap himself, voice low and inviting. “If you want a good look, you’ll have to come a little closer.”

Now, with barely a step between them, their faces were almost touching. Selene instinctively held her breath, her eyes drawn in by the man before her.

“Seen enough yet?” Adrian’s voice was a velvet murmur.

“Yeah.” She nodded.

“And?” he pressed.

“You look great.” Selene’s compliment was heartfelt. “Honestly, Mr. Shaw, you’re one of the best-looking men I’ve ever met.”

She meant every word.

Adrian chuckled—a soft sound from deep in his chest. Selene had seen her fair share of attractive men: Luke Holloway, Harrison, and Leo. Especially Leo—his looks were striking enough to make even Adrian feel a twinge of competition.

“My face is probably the least remarkable thing about me,” Adrian said, full of that effortless confidence.

Selene’s mind flashed to the gym selfies Adrian had sent her—the ones with the abs and biceps on full display. Her cheeks burned.

That sculpted waist had definitely left an impression.

She cleared her throat, desperate to hide her embarrassment before Adrian could catch on. Slipping past him, she settled behind her desk, switching to a brisk, businesslike tone. “Mr. Shaw, let’s get to the real reason you’re here.”

He arched a brow, his tongue pressing lightly against his upper teeth. “Oh? I thought we were already having a perfectly serious conversation.”

Selene rolled her eyes but didn’t dignify that with a response.

Those fox-like eyes of his seemed to see right through her. “Or is it that since seeing me, Mr. Thompson’s mind has been on anything but business?”
