Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 417

“It’s the fire alarm!”

“Is there a fire? Where is it?”

“It smells awful! Like something’s burning!”

Some parents covered their mouths and noses.

One of the teachers called out, “Kids, don’t panic! Everyone, line up and leave the building as quickly as you can!”

The teachers tried to keep order, but the shrill alarm only made things worse. With so many parents around, panic took over—mothers and fathers scooped up their children and bolted for the exits.

Chairs toppled across the auditorium floor. Children burst into tears, terrified in the chaos and crush.

A group of kids came scrambling down the stairs, and several tumbled, landing hard on the ground.

The Vaughn family’s security team rushed in instinctively, lifting the fallen children to their feet.

One of the bodyguards, checking his phone, called out, “Master Altair’s GPS tracker just disappeared from my phone!”

“Maybe he’s already outside,” another suggested. “He could’ve found Miss Dafina and didn’t want us interrupting them, so he turned off the tracker.”

The team hesitated, torn between searching for Altair and getting themselves out of the dangerous, smoke-filled hall.

“With Altair’s smarts, if he noticed the fire, he’d get out. He wouldn’t hang around in danger.”

Finally, they convinced themselves to lead the remaining kids to safety. Once outside, they’d regroup and resume searching for Altair.

Night pressed in thick and dark. Firelight flickered in the auditorium windows, but heavy smoke, shrouded by the winter sky, blurred everything.

A bitter wind swept the grounds, carrying the scorched smell far beyond the school.
