Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 392

Dames lay on the bed, his dark, glassy eyes taking up almost all the space beneath his lashes. In the dim room, the tiny sliver of white in his gaze shimmered with a faint bluish hue.

Harrison tried to speak, but it felt as if someone had stuffed a wad of paper down his throat.

His voice caught, stuck somewhere between his chest and lips, while Dames watched him with raw hope and pleading in his eyes.

Dames clung tightly to the sleeve of Harrison’s shirt.

“She already divorced me…”

How could he possibly get back together with Selene?

There was no way he’d ever go crawling back.

The day he and Selene signed the divorce papers, he’d made it clear—if reconciliation were ever to happen, Selene would have to be the one to beg him.

Even as they walked out of the courthouse, he’d told himself he would never look back.

Even if Selene got down on her knees and begged, it would never happen.

But for Dames, Harrison was willing to make the biggest concession he could.

“If your mom comes and asks me to get back together, I’ll consider it.”

He clenched his fist as he spoke, as if he were trying to convince himself just as much as Dames.

But Dames didn’t look satisfied; his voice turned sticky with tears. “Mommy doesn’t want me anymore. She doesn’t want Daddy, either. Why would she ever come back to you?”

He wouldn’t let go of Harrison’s sleeve.

“Daddy, can’t you be the one to ask her? Please? Ask her to forgive you, ask her to come home!”

To him, there was nothing Harrison couldn’t do.
