Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 341

“Harrison would never make your medical records public. It wouldn’t do him any good—in fact, it would only strengthen the case for The Shaw Group’s acquisition of Thompson Victory Technologies.

But the fact that he actually stole your records? I can’t just let that slide! I want him to face backlash from every direction. I want him to suffer in silence, unable to defend himself!”

Selene’s gaze toward Harrison was all ice and steel—utterly resolute.

When Adrian didn’t answer, she turned to look at him.

He had shifted in his seat, one elbow propped nonchalantly on the steering wheel, those electric, soulful eyes of his gazing at her with a warmth that could make even a stray dog feel cherished.

Selene’s nerves fluttered. “What do you think?” she asked quietly.

She wanted to take Harrison down, but this involved Adrian’s privacy too.

Adrian’s lips curled into a faint, self-assured smile. “Selene, I love this side of you.”

“Wha—!”

The sudden, heartfelt confession made the heat rush to her cheeks. How did he always manage to make her heart race with just a few words?

“You’re protecting me. You won’t let Harrison walk all over me. You want him to pay for what he’s done—because I’m your ally. I matter to you, don’t I?”

The air inside the car felt heavy, close. Selene shifted uncomfortably, her eyes catching on the crystal bracelet peeking out from her sleeve. Her throat tightened, her heart fluttering like a thousand butterflies trapped in her chest.

“No one’s ever cared for me so openly, so shamelessly, the way you do.”

As she spoke, her gaze slipped, almost involuntarily, down to his waist.

The crystal bracelet on her pale wrist felt suddenly hot, as if the stones had been warmed by fire.

She inwardly scolded herself—Look away! Don’t stare!

Flustered, she turned her face toward the window.

“What made you even consider getting that kind of surgery?” she blurted, still not meeting his eyes.

“I know Harrison’s no slouch,” Adrian replied easily. “You’re not naive. You know how to compare, and if one day you decide you want to try something new—well, I won’t let myself lose to any man.”
