Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 278

When Harrison brought Dames back to the hospital, the boy’s voice was hoarse from crying.

He couldn’t make a sound, his small face twisted with misery.

The long bout of tears, the cold rain, and that nasty fall had triggered an inflammation in his frail body. Dames’s cheeks burned bright red, and he trembled uncontrollably.

Harrison immediately noticed something was wrong. He rushed to call for the doctors.

Within moments, several physicians surrounded Dames, launching into emergency treatment.

News traveled fast. The old lady hurried over, clutching her chest as she caught sight of the crowd of doctors gathered around the hospital bed.

“What happened to Dames? Where did Nadine take him?”

“He went to find Selene,” Harrison replied, his tone curt and cold.

The old lady’s nerves tightened. “He just went to see that heartless woman—how did things turn out like this? Did Selene do something to him?”

“There’s nothing more to say,” Harrison said flatly. “She refused to forgive him and left him standing in the rain.”

The old woman looked about ready to faint from rage. “I’ll call the press. I’ll make sure every media outlet knows Selene is unfit to be a mother! Just because she’s famous now doesn’t mean we have to treat her any differently. Reputation is a double-edged sword—if they’ve built her up, I’ll make sure she falls twice as hard!”

“Do whatever you want.” Harrison turned his face back toward the hospital room, his expression bleak.

Selene’s name was a thorn buried deep in his heart, twisting and moving with every beat. Every time he thought of her, pain rippled through his entire body.

Seeing her son’s tacit approval, the old lady brightened instantly.

Just then, Gemma glanced past Harrison’s shoulder.

Harrison turned and saw Leo being wheeled out by his assistant.

A small entourage of bodyguards trailed after Leo, and Altair Vaughn followed close behind, carrying a bouquet of carnations.

The moment Leo appeared, the entire hallway seemed to fall silent. Even seated in a wheelchair, being pushed by someone else, he radiated such presence that no one could ignore him.

He seemed to shine with a cool, dignified light, and the whole corridor felt brighter for his arrival.

Facing Harrison, Leo was the first to speak. “Altair wanted to come see your son.”
