Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 234

“Luna! Great to see you!”

Dames’ bright voice rang out, but as he stepped into the lounge and saw who was actually inside, he froze.

Selene was about to head into the changing room, but her gaze met Dames’, and for a moment, the air seemed to still.

The excitement drained from Dames’ face, replaced by a blank stare. He stiffened, his expression falling flat as he stared at Selene in disbelief.

“What are you doing here?!”

Behind Felicity and Dames, a crowd had gathered, filling the doorway.

A cameraman swung his lens toward Selene and Carmel, eager to catch every detail.

Seeing the growing crowd bottlenecking the entrance, Carmel instantly tensed up. She edged closer to Selene, seeking comfort.

“Selene, what are you doing in Luna’s lounge?!” Felicity’s voice shot up several octaves, her shock making her words shrill.

Dames looked Carmel up and down, his eyes wide. “Are you Luna?”

He scratched his head, clearly confused.

Carmel wore a baggy charcoal tracksuit that did nothing to hide her lanky frame. With her sharp features and buzzed hair, most people’s first impression was always the same: they mistook her for a teenage boy.

To them, she looked like a fresh-faced young guy.

Clutching Selene’s sleeve, Carmel shook her head. “I’m not Luna.”

Felicity narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing Carmel, who was practically glued to Selene’s side. Something about her looked familiar.

Suddenly, it clicked. Seven years ago, Felicity had seen this “man” before.

After learning that Selene was her half-sister, Felicity had personally tailed her a few times—and sent people to follow her, too. That’s when she’d discovered Selene had a childhood friend, a boy from the neighborhood. Not long after, that “boy” hit the jackpot and became Luna’s co-driver.

Once Carmel became famous, “he” left Selene behind and moved abroad, which had secretly delighted Felicity for ages.

She looked at Selene. “That’s… your son?”

She wasn’t sure, mainly because the moment the boy walked in, he’d started barking at Selene.

Selene replied in a light, almost indifferent tone. “Not anymore.”

Selene had only ever told Carmel that after the divorce, she took her daughter with her, but left her son with the Vaughns.

Now Carmel understood why Selene had only brought Daph with her.

Carmel’s eyes grew cold. “Actually, you’re the ones who should leave. Luna’s lounge is off-limits without permission.”

Dames planted his hands on his hips and puffed out his chest, full of confidence. “I’m friends with Luna!”

Selene looked at him, amused. “Oh? Then do you even know what Luna looks like?”

Dames’ bravado faltered. He jutted out his lower lip. “I’ll find out today! And when I do, I’m telling Luna that if she wins the exhibition race, she’s earned the right to be my new mom!”
