Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 134

The entire conference room fell into a deathly silence.

It felt as if a layer of ice three feet thick had settled over Harrison.

Selene was playing hardball with him again.

How long was she planning to drag this out?

Harrison’s face turned cold, his stormy eyes barely containing the surge of emotion

within.

He called Selene again.

This time, all he got was an automated message: The number you have dialed is unavailable. Please try again later.

What the-!

She’d blocked his number!

Harrison drew in a long, steadying breath. When he looked up, he realized every shareholder in the room was watching him, bewildered and anxious.

I’ll try giving Selene a call,” Leo offered, breaking the tension. Every pair of eyes shifted to him.

Leo pulled out his phone and dialed. He switched on the speaker so everyone could hear the ringing, and, almost subconsciously, the entire room held its breath.

Then, the call connected.

Dr. Vaughn, did you hear? I won the award!

Selene’s voice sparkled with delight, the excitement unmistakable.

Harrison was stunnedhe’d never heard Selene sound so genuinely happy.

Congratulations,Leo replied, his tone perfectly neutral, betraying nothing.

Selene!Harrison’s voice was low and tight, heavy with frustration. You just hung up on me. Do you realize that?

Selene paused for three long seconds on the other end.

Dr. Vaughn, I hope you’ll reconsider what we talked about before.

Chapter 134

Harrison’s jaw tightened, his expression thunderous.

She was deliberately ignoring him!

She was doing this on purpose!

Fine. Did she really expect him to swallow his pride and say something nice to win her back?

Harrison had to force himself to stay calm.

Selene, let’s have dinner,he finally managed, his voice softer but still strained.

He’d never imagined there would come a day when he’d have to be the one to make concessions.

After Selene had filed for divorce, this was the greatest patience and kindness he could offer.

Selene’s voice came through Leo’s phone again. Dr. Vaughn, would you be willing to have dinner with me?

Harrison almost laughed. Was she shy? She insisted on bringing someone else along for dinner.

She was afraid to face him aloneher love for him made her anxious.

If they dined together, just the two of them, perhaps she was afraid she wouldn’t be able to resist turning back.

Well, he could indulge her a little.

My uncle will join us for dinner too

Alright, see you tonight then,” Selene agreed readily, eager and a little anxious that Leo might change his mind.

Harrison crossed his arms over his chest, a satisfied smile playing at his lips. He was in an uncommonly good mood.

Selene could hardly wait to see him.

All the shareholders in the room exhaled collectively, the tension dissipating.

If Miss Thompson’s willing to have dinner with Harrison, that means she’s interested in joining Vaughn Enterprises!

Harrison, keep it up! If you two can’t be husband and wife, at least you can be colleagues.
