Joseph spoke seriously about what came next.
"Since we're working together, a little give-and-take will make everything move forward more smoothly."
Hearing that, Yvonne felt his reasoning made sense.
"Alright, let's do that first."
She still wasn’t sure what exactly she could help Joseph with, but she believed that if he needed her, she should do her best. At least it gave both of them some clarity.
"If there's anything you need my help with, just tell me directly. When the time comes, I’ll tell you everything I know."
"Don’t worry, I won’t stand on ceremony with you."
Joseph understood it as well—now that they were partners, they couldn’t be polite with each other. If a problem came up, they should say it straight.
"I’ll organize what I need and send it to you later."
"No problem."
Yvonne agreed without hesitation. Right now, the most important thing for her was getting back to the show. She didn’t want to waste time here.
Otherwise, all her time would slip away for nothing, and that made no sense. So, she pushed things forward quickly, hoping to return home soon without further delays.
After they finished talking, Joseph left right away.
He also felt it wasn’t appropriate to stay any longer. After all, it was just the two of them alone in the house. If someone saw them and rumors spread, it wouldn’t be good for Yvonne’s reputation.
He really was a considerate partner; he’d thought through every angle for her.
Yvonne noticed his attention to detail and felt a bit moved.
She hadn’t expected the same man who barged into her home like a bandit earlier to be so thoughtful now.
