Dumping My Ex to Flash Marry the Untouchable CEO novel Chapter 1657

Finally able to rest peacefully for once, there was no way she would let such an opportunity slip by.

The next morning, when Aurora arrived on set, she immediately sensed something was off.

It felt like everyone was sneaking glances at her, their looks subtle yet deliberate.

Why? Was it because Yvonne was here?

Aurora cast a questioning look at Megan.

But Megan seemed just as puzzled, having no idea what was going on.

She spread her hands and shrugged. "Don’t look at me. I don’t know either. I came here with you."

Hearing that, Aurora sighed. "I know you don’t. I just want you to find out what’s going on."

"Alright, leave it to me," Megan replied.

These past few days, she’d gotten familiar with the assistants on set.

She knew exactly which actors were easy to get along with and which weren’t.

And she’d also realized the entertainment industry wasn’t as glamorous as it looked; it was more like a murky pool.

Once anyone stepped into it, staying pure became impossible.

Before she joined the industry, she thought everyone in it was dazzling.

After all, the people who appeared on the big screen were admired by millions.

She had always adored their stunning looks.

But without the filters and the spotlight, she discovered that many weren’t nearly as flawless as they seemed online.

Some threw tantrums at their assistants; others had such poor manners that they’d toss trash right on the floor.

At first, Megan had been shocked.

But soon enough, she got used to it.

The young assistant jumped in fright. "Hold on, Willy, I’ll be right there!"

When she turned and saw it was Megan, she let out a breath of relief.

"You scared me half to death!" she said, glancing toward the room.

Seeing nothing happening inside, she patted her chest and exhaled.

"What’s wrong? Why do you look so scared? Is someone giving you a hard time?" Megan asked, her voice filled with indignation.

But the assistant quickly waved her hands, panic on her face.

"Don’t say that! That’s not something you should be asking about."

"Why not?" Megan frowned.

The assistant glanced around, realizing others were already watching them, and her heart started pounding.
