Chapter 1519
By the end, Aaron’s tone had turned sharp with anger.
“Tell me, doesn’t someone like that disgust you?”
Seeing how worked up he was, Tessa knew she had him exactly where she wanted. He wasn’t doubting her anymore, not even a little.
That meant she’d won. From now on, whatever she said, Aaron would believe it. The whole matter was now smoothed over and safely behind her.
“It’s fine,” she said softly, feigning generosity. “I don’t mind being misunderstood, as long as my sister doesn’t think we were against her.”
Aaron didn’t respond to that. He knew Tessa’s personality well enough not to take her words at face value.
Still, he believed she hadn’t known who Aurora’s husband was. Her sincerity seemed real, and he couldn’t see any reason for her to lie about it.
From every angle, it made sense.
He’d already figured out what she might lie about and what she wouldn’t.
“Don’t worry,” he said finally. “I’ll clear this up with my parents. But next time, if something happens, you have to tell me right away.”
With that, Aaron officially forgave her.
Tessa’s lips curved, satisfaction glinting in her eyes. “Aaron, I knew you’d understand me best.”
“It’s fine,” he replied gruffly. “As long as you don’t lie to me, we’ll be fine.”
Hearing that promise, Tessa felt completely at ease.
Aaron was still easy to control.
Ever since Julian had left, he’d been the most useful man she’d found and she had no intention of letting go.
Aaron was a weapon she planned to keep, one that still worked perfectly in her hands.
She wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, unwilling to release him.
In that moment, their bodies pressed together, perfectly in sync.
Meanwhile, in Bustin City, Aurora had already checked into the hotel and was unpacking with Megan.
The two of them carefully organized their belongings one by one before Aurora’s phone rang.
It was the director.

“Miss Walton, have you arrived in Bustin City?”
“Yes, I have,” Aurora replied. “Mr. Smith, when will tomorrow’s recording begin? And who else will be joining
us?”
The director didn’t hide anything from her and directly listed the confirmed cast members and participants. Then, after a brief pause, he added, “Oh right, there’ll be a new judge joining us tomorrow. We didn’t inform you earlier because it was a decision from higher up.”
