Nicole had no feelings about this kind of danger because of all of her experiences with Samuel.
"It's not a big deal, right?"
She looked at Samuel and yawned wearily.
Normally, Nicole would have been lying on the bed to rest at this time, but now, she had to stay up late with him. Samuel was a little worried about her.
"It's nothing. I can get it under control. If you're sleepy, you can take a nap. I'll wake you up later."
"Alright."
Nicole just ignored whoever around them and then fell asleep.
Samuel took off his coat and draped it over Nicole's shoulders so that she wouldn't catch a cold.
Samuel's face then darkened and put on a cold look.
He quickly stepped on the accelerator and directly rushed towards the car in front of him.
Perhaps they didn't expect Samuel to dash forward directly even if he was together with Nicole. They slightly stunned for a moment. When they realized that Samuel still rushed towards them without hesitation, they were finally scared and started to back the car at the fastest speed possible.
Samuel directly dashed out when they panicked.
Samuel kept driving fast and continued to speed up instead of slowing down even if they dashed out.
The cars behind continued to follow them for a while. However, those cars just disappeared when Samuel drove on the main road after passing through two intersections.
Samuel contemplated for a while and kept the intersection in mind. He then drove the car to the hotel.
They arrived at the entrance of the hotel and Nicole still slept soundly.
A gentle smile spread over Samuel's cold face.
He gently got out of the car, held Nicole in his arms, and went straight to the guest room.
Nicole slept comfortably in his arms and she even smacked her lips as if she dreamed of something delicious.
Samuel's eyes grew tender.
He tucked Nicole in and started to think about what Brian said about Booth's legs. He couldn't help but frown when he thought that what happened to Olivia and Booth would continue to bother Nicole tomorrow. He then stood up and went to Booth's room.
The care worker wanted to say something when he saw Samuel, but Samuel gestured for him to keep quiet.
Samuel saw Booth carefully translating the documents without even noticing someone else was here.
"Busy?"
"Yes."
Booth replied casually. He froze for a while before looking up and saw Samuel standing in the room. He couldn't help but be slightly stunned.
"Mr. Green? Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Do you need to finish what you are doing right away?"
Samuel of course knew that this document was from his company and it was not in urgent need.
Booth seriously said, "I don't need to submit this document immediately, but I'm paid and I have to take my job seriously."
Samuel really appreciated Booth's attitudes.
"You can be of great value to the Kent's in the future."
Booth smiled bitterly when he heard Samuel's words and said,, "Mr. Green, you must be joking. I am a loser right now. I am useless to my family."
"Even if you are physically disabled, you need to stay mentally strong. Besides, you may not be crippled for the rest of your life. Nikki and I just caught Brian at the party held by Mr. Bradford and we learned something from him. Why don't you tell Nikki what you know?"
Booth's eyes quivered when he heard the name of Brian.
"I don't know what you are talking about."
"You can't keep the truth from Nikki now. She already knows everything including what happens to your sister."
Booth's eyes finally darkened a little. He almost cried when he heard Samuel's words.
"Olivia asks me not to tell Nicole what happens to her."
Samuel knew that Olivia was Nicole's best friend. Olivia could do anything for Nicole. This was also the reason why Samuel said nothing about their friendship even if he did not like Olivia.
Olivia used to do something terrible to him when she had misunderstandings about him because of Elvis. Samuel was angry, but he didn't do anything to hurt her. He had some mixed feelings about Olivia when he knew she couldn't have her own baby because of Nicole.
"You should tell us instead of listening to Olivia. Do you really want to see your sister unable to have her own baby for the rest of her life?"
Booth was on the verge of tears.
"Of course that's not what I hope for. We went to doctors after we came back, but they all said that they could do nothing because Olivia was hurt badly. Olivia said she didn't care, but I didn't think she's fine with it as a woman. She asked me not to tell Nicole about it, because she was afraid that Nicole would be quite upset. Olivia said that if Nicole knew about the truth, she would do whatever she can to take revenge on Brian for her. In fact, we already realized that there was someone behind Brian when we were at the border. We couldn't find out who that person is, but one thing we know for sure is that whoever behind it is really dangerous. Olivia said that even if Nicole knew about the truth, she could change nothing but put her life at risk. Therefore, it would be the best for us to keep it as a secret."
"Why are you up?"
Samuel quickly walked over and held Nicole's hands in his own.
Her hands were a little cold.
"You should wear more clothes when you come out. What if you catch a cold?"
Samuel whispered and pulled Nicole back to their room.
Only when Samuel closed the door did Nicole whisper, "Thank you, Samuel."
"Why do you thank me all of a sudden? You are not fully awake, right?"
Nicole suddenly hugged Samuel from behind and whispered, "I know that you help Booth because you are afraid that I might feel so guilty that I could spoil Booth and even ruin his future. That's probably why send him abroad. You would send someone to protect him secretly while he strives for his future, right?"
"After all, he gets hurt for you. Besides, the Kents declined because of Elvis. You are not the only reason I help him. I am doing it for both of us. I know what's on your mind, but you already have a full schedule yourself. You can just leave him to me. Don't worry. I will treat him like he my own younger brother."
Nicole was moved when she heard Samuel's words.
Perhaps Samuel was not the best man, he was definitely a good husband in her mind.
Nicole hugged Samuel delightedly, but Samuel was somewhat uncomfortable.
"Honey, you might turn me on if you keep hugging me like this. I can be really bad at controlling myself."
Nicole was slightly stunned for a moment. She did not understand what Samuel was talking about initially. Then her face immediately turned red.
"You are crazy!"
She finally let go of Samuel.
Samuel said reluctantly, "We can hug for a while longer."
"Get lost!"
Nicole smiled and the two of them lied down on their bed.
The warm lights shone down upon them. Nicole leaned on Samuel and heard his strong heartbeat. She suddenly asked, "By the way, who do you think is behind those people surrounding us on the road tonight?"
Samuel's eyes narrowed slightly. He might have an idea who it was.
