Don't Try to Escape, My Wife! novel Chapter 923

The first thing Samuel noticed was Nicole's blood-stained leg.

His face was purple with rage.

"Elvis, how dare you hurt her!"

Samuel threw himself at Elvis, swinging a punch on his face.

Nicole had mixed feelings.

She muttered, "Samuel, I can't hold on any longer."

"What?"

Samuel turned around and saw Nicole falling.

"Nicole!"

Samuel rushed towards Nicole. The moment she was about to fall down, he held her body. With her tears trickling down her face, Nicole fell into a coma.

"Nicole! Doctor!"

Samuel's heart was broken.

He was still late, wasn't he?

Ernesto, Laurence and the others quickly ran over. They surrounded Elvis and his gang.

Una had already accepted the fact. She silently came to Elvis' side, held his hand, and said softly, "I will be with you."

"Alright."

Elvis' ruthlessness disappeared, and now he was just like an ordinary person.

He held Una's hand tightly and didn't say anything else.

Samuel quickly carried Nicole into the helicopter.

On the helicopter, Gabrielle had already taken out some medical equipment. He was a little worried when he saw Nicole.

"Put her down and let me check."

Samuel quickly placed Nicole on the stretcher beside him.

Elvis and his gang were taken to other helicopters.

Samuel transmitted the situation to Lucas using his phone. Then Lucas informed Mark and Jason. And all the people involved were rushing towards this small island. However, these things had nothing to do with Samuel anymore.

After Nicole was rescued, she was sent directly to the hospital.

Gabrielle bandaged her leg up. But after the examination, he discovered that she was unconscious due to mood swing and excessive blood loss, so it wasn't that big a deal.

Samuel stayed with her all the time without even blinking, for fear that he would lose her.

In her dream, Nicole seemed to see Audrey.

There was a man standing beside Audrey, tall and big. He looked at her with a kind smile.

Nicole asked uncertainly, "Dad?"

Xander's face lit up.

"Nicole, I'm leaving with your mother. We both know that you have a strong heart. And we understand the pain that you've suffered all these years. But since you've already experienced it, it's better to let it go. We're all proud of you. You have grown up and become a mother yourself. And now, you have a husband who will always be with you. I believe you will do just fine without us. So we can leave at ease."

"Your mother and I have been separated for so many years. This is the greatest torment for us. Now that we are finally together, you should be happy for us. Sweetie, don't cry. No matter where we are, we wish you a peaceful and blessed life. Your suffering is now over, and good days await you. Just seize the day. And don't worry about us. Nicole, take care of yourself."

After saying that, their figures slowly became transparent and then completely invisible.

A tear rolled down Nicole's cheek.

She was both sad and reassured.

Was this her parents saying goodbye?

They must be happy to be together.

But it grieved her so much.

Nicole's tears almost broke Samuel's heart.

He did not know what Nicole was dreaming about, nor did he know what she was crying about. He could only call her name over and over again, hold her hand tightly to give her some strength and comfort.

In her dream, Nicole seemed to hear a familiar voice lingering beside her. It was intermittent, but it could always give her some warmth.

She tried to open her eyes, but she was too tired. The excessive loss of blood made her very weak.

Nicole fell asleep again.

Samuel felt relieved when she finally stopped crying.

Some people had been sent to take care of the case of Elvis. And Samuel didn't want to hear a single word about it. To him, the whole thing was over. He didn't care what Elvis had done and why, as Elvis would be punished according to law.

For now, the only person he cared was Nicole.

Petty rushed over after knowing that Elvis had been arrested. She really wanted to know what kind of person his father was. But hearing everything Elvis had done, she didn't want to see him anymore.

It turned out that she was considered a mistake by her own father.

When they returned to the Green's, they happened to meet Samuel.

Petty did not know how to face Samuel. She stammered, "Mr. Green, we, we will find a house and move out. Don't worry. We won't bother you and Mrs. Green."

Samuel was slightly stunned. Petty's wary look reminded him that they were of the same blood. Then he said in a low voice, "When did you start to call her Mrs. Green again? You call her Nicole in front of Zac, but call her Mrs. Green in front of me. Can't you be consistent?"

Petty thought that Samuel was annoyed, so she hurriedly said, "It was my fault. I promise that I will only call her Mrs. Green in the future."

Samuel felt a little sad when she saw Petty like this.

"Petty."

"Yes?"

Petty raised her head and saw a smile lifted the corner of Samuel's mouth. He said, "Is calling me by my name so difficult?"

Under the sunlight, Samuel's smile was so warm that it moved Petty to tears.

"I, no, Mr. Green, I..."

"Don't come to dinner tonight if you still call me Mr. Green."

Samuel then looked at Lillian.

"Lillian, I have already asked someone to prepare a room for you. We didn't have elders in our family. But now we have you. There are two pregnant women in this family, my wife and Petty. You are our mother-in-law. Please take care of them."

Lillian was stunned.

"Me? You said I was your mother-in-law?"

"Although I don't want to admit it, Elvis is my biological father. You are Petty's mother. To be exact, there's nothing wrong with my wife taking you as her mother-in-law. If you find it awkward, we'll just call you Lillian. But you should definitely take the role as our mother-in-law. In the future, we may need you to take care of the children."

Samuel said with a faint smile.

Zac suddenly knelt down in front of Samuel.

"Mr. Green, thank you."

"What are you doing? Get up now. You can call me Samuel just like Petty. Nicole is right. We are not a big family, so it's better to let bygones be bygones. Our future is still bright. Zac, help Lillian and Petty go back for a rest. Right, remember, if Petty still calls me Mr. Green, then don't give her lunch."

Samuel then left.

Petty cannot help but called, "Samuel, I'm sorry."

"Don't say that."

With his back towards them, Samuel waved his hand. He caught sight of Nicole at the end of the stairs, who had woken up. She looked at him with her eyes twinkling with affection, making his heart soften involuntarily.
