Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1893

Snowing?

Coralie was still a bit hazy when she heard Channing say, "Miss Coralie, our third year is here."

Third year?

Coralie's heart gave a heavy thump, an indescribable feeling rushing through her veins.

Three years ago, she had saved Channing and taken him in.

It had been snowing then, too.

Time really flew.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" Channing looked at her with pure affection. "I've got your winter coat and snow boots ready, and also this—"

As he spoke.

Channing pulled out a strange-looking contraption.

Coralie instantly recognized it.

It was a snow duck maker.

"This is a toy for toddlers, and you brought it for me?"

Coralie poked him in the chest, groaning, "Channing, how old do you think I am?"

"To me, you'll always be eighteen."

Channing meant every word. He wanted his Miss Coralie to stay young, beautiful, and healthy forever.

Meeting his gaze, Coralie's heart began to race.

The nerve of this guy.

Had he secretly taken a masterclass in sweet talk recently?

He was getting way too good at this.

"Since you want to play with it so badly, I'll humor you." Coralie scrambled up, quickly throwing on her heavy coat and snow boots.

She pulled on a beanie and a face mask, her wavy hair cascading over her shoulders, leaving only her big, bright eyes visible.

"Hurry up, Channing!"

She ran ahead excitedly, shouting back at him.

Wearing a matching coat and carrying a thermos, Channing followed closely behind.

It had been snowing for a while.

The casino's entire back garden was blanketed in white, every step leaving a deep footprint.

Coralie crouched in the center of the yard with the toy, making several little snow ducks.

But she wasn't pressing hard enough, so none of them came out right.
