Ava blinked, not knowing what else to say.
He did not care? How could anyone want someone who had been sleeping with his rival?
Jan gritted his teeth and mumbled,
“Why can’t you understand? It is not just about having sex. It’s about the feeling that another man sees my woman’s precious body. But it was my mistake that I let you go. You had a life that you led all these years. I was not a saint to have the authority to ask you anything.”
He paused and pressed his forehead against hers, whispering,
“I no longer care about anything. I just want to reclaim a place in your heart, and I know I will be able to do so someday. Until then, I will wait.”
Ian left the house, leaving Ava in shock and stressed. Her eyes welled up in tears.
She shook her head and murmured,
“I will never forgive you, regardless of how long you wait.”
With her head leaned back against the pillar, she closed her eyes. She thought of what she had promised Dane. She was grateful to Dane for reminding her of Ian’s past actions. Otherwise, she would be a fool to trust lan again. She felt her wolf growl at her inside. She got mad at her wolf.
“Why can’t I have a choice? Why can’t I decide who I want to live with? Why would I have to follow the mate bond, and get hurt? I won’t listen to you this time,” she said to her wolf angrily.
She bit her bottom lip furiously as she was getting emotional. She had been keeping it together in front of Ian, so when he left, her emotions threatened to spill out on her face.
Her lip trembled between her teeth as she realized he had kissed her some time ago. She lifted her hand and started to rub her lips angrily.
Suddenly, her gaze was drawn to the table. Her legs unintentionally moved in that direction.
She came to a halt in front of the table, intending to throw away everything Ian had prepared for her.
However, she was not the type of woman who threw away food. She sighed and was about to put the dishes in the freezer.
She did not know why, but she had a sudden desire to taste them, despite having eaten her dinner outside.
She rubbed her forehead and sat down in a chair. She grabbed a spoon and tried all of the dishes.
To her surprise, every dish was delicious, as if it had been made with passion.

She bit her tongue, wondering if Ian had ordered them from a restaurant and then told her he made them himself.
She shook her head and got up from the chair. “He was lying to me.”
She finished putting all of the dishes in the freezer and was about apron hanging in a chair.

To make sure lan actually wore the apron, she reached out and grabbed it, bringing It to her nose.
As lan’s scent reached her nostrils, her eyes widened. She felt as if she had been influenced by a seductive scent. She hurriedly placed it on the chair and left the room.
All night long, she reflected on what had happened.
“No, I can not keep Dane in the dark. I need to tell him everything. That kiss… I cheated on him!”
“But I didn’t kiss Ian. He kissed me forcibly.”
She growled in anger and muttered,
“Ugh! I just want to kill you, Ian.”
Griffin called Ava the next day while she was working at the company.
“Brother, I have already spoken with Dane. I will be back after the competition.”
