He was standing in front of a wall that was adorned with photographs of her family. He was observing the photos.

She looked away from him and uttered,

“You two can sit. I will make some coffee for you.”

Dane turned his head to the side and gave her a nod, then returned his gaze to the photos.

Ava left the living room and headed to the kitchen to make coffee for them.

Dane’s eyes were on a photo.

Instead of sitting on a couch, Griffin chose to accompany Dane. He came to stand next to him and looked at the photo where Dane fixed his gaze.

It was a family photo. It was photographed at Ava’s mother’s wedding to Gamma Harper. Aside from Ava’s family was in the photo.

“That’s Ian Dawson!” Griffin muttered, looking at Jan and his family beside Ava’s family.

Dane stared at the photo without responding anything. Griffin gulped as he turned his head to look at his Alpha, He looked calm, which was not a good sign.

“He must be close to Ava’s family since Stephen is his gamma.”

Dane listened to him, moving his gaze to another photo. But then his gaze darkened when Griffin spoke again.

It was then Angela’s gaze shitted to the other man in the room. She was so taken aback by Griffin that she failed to notice that another man was present.

Dane hung the photo on the wall, then turned around to face Angel.

The look of shock spread across Angela’s eyes. For a moment, she felt as if everything had frozen around her.

The pair of cold brown eyes pierced her. Her lips quivered as she began to step backward.

Dane leaned his back against the wall behind him and asked,

“Mrs. Adler does not seem pleased to see me,”

Griffin scoffed upon hearing Dane. “Alpha, it’s Mrs. Taylor.”

Staring at Dane, Angela blinked. Sweat trickled down her shoulder from her forehead. She was nervous and scared.

Dane began to walk toward her. She took a few steps backward until her back was against the door.

Dane paused a few feet away, his gaze fixed on her.
