Dominant Alpha novel Chapter 27

"What the hell?!" Alpha Boris was the first one to react as he suddenly shouted in a furious voice as soon as the words left my lips, "Alpha Christian, now a human is going to teach and tell you how to make deals within our packs and how to protect your own pack?"

I truly wanted to punch him in the face with the chair that he was sitting in.

"I am just saying what I think is right for us, Alpha," I said in a calm tone to Alpha Boris, trying hard to hide the anger that was simmering underneath my calm exterior at that scoundrel's idiotic attempt to hide his wrongdoing, "this deal is dangerous for us and yo-"

"Ava, SIT DOWN."

Before I could continue, Christian gritted through clenched teeth angrily, his hand was clenched tight in a fist on the table as he spoke the words.

"But Christian, look at those papers, they are clearly indicating that if we signed the deal, we would have to lose an extensive amount of our warriors. How can w..."

"Alpha Christian, it is like you are insulting me without having to say a word," Alpha Boris threw his chair back and shot up from his place before I could finish the words, "are you this much dumb that you have to take advice and lectures from this girl that has not even known anything about us until just a few days ago?"

"How can.." I had barely started talking when suddenly a hand shot out and clenched my arm tightly to pull me against a hard body.

"Shut up, Ava! Can you just shut the hell up for five fucking minutes? I invited you to these meetings so that you can see how my world works, not for you to insult me in front of people who respect me and expect the same from me in return." Christian shouted at me in an angry voice, making me suddenly stiffen in discomfort and fear when he continued, "What do you think I am? Am I not good enough, knowledgeable enough to know what is good for MY pack? A few days in these meetings, barely a handful of information about us and you think you are an expert now?"

"No, Christian..." I stammered to explain but he did not let me continue. Cutting me off in the middle, he kept on saying the words that were crushing my heart bit by bit with each passing moment,

As I stood shaking in my place with nothing but anger and pain in my heart, the only thing that I could do at that moment was push back my chair, and storm out of that damn meeting room without saying anything else. If he wanted to give up his whole damn money to become a beggar in the end because of his greed, I gave no shit about it anymore. He could go to hell for all I cared.

I ran to my room straight and locked it from inside,

"Shit! Shit! Shit! How stupid I am!!!" My hands slipped in my hair to grabbed clutch a handful of them in frustration, "Today, he was going to mark me! What a fucking good surprise this is. Just amazing! He definitely stood firm in his words. He made this day very special for me." Tears of sadness and anger were streaming down my face.

As the pain overpowered and anger filled my heart entirely, I wiped the tears off my eyes and cheeks harshly and muttered to myself, "This is it. I am not going to cry anymore." My voice kept shivering as the reminder of what had happened barely a few moments ago, each word that he had spoken to me with nothing but the clear intention of putting me in my place in front a bunch of unknown people just so he could keep his 'pride' intact kept swirling inside my head,

"He has made it pretty clear that I am not a part of his pack, his life. And it is fine! Absolutely great! Go. To. Hell. Christian Fucking Idiot."
