Joy erupted on the faces of everyone in the Blue family.
“Wiona, of course! That’s the best news we could ask for. We can’t wait to have you!”
“That’s right, Wiona, this is your home. Nicole and I will start preparing tonight. We’ll get everything ready, so you don’t have to bring a thing. Just come back.”
Her two aunt-in-laws were the most enthusiastic, crowding around Wiona, practically wishing she could move in that very instant.
Having no daughters of their own, they both treated Wiona like she was their own child.
Her cousins also watched her with warmth in their eyes, clearly looking forward to living together.
Wiona felt their excitement, and a similar warmth spread through her own heart.
At the Sullivan villa, the twins were already fast asleep.
Wiona and Conrad watched their sons in the nursery for a while before returning to their own room.
Wiona had planned on taking a relaxing bath, but she was so exhausted she fell asleep right there in the tub.
Today had been draining…
She was drifting in a dream when the water suddenly rippled around her.
The bathtub was temperature controlled, keeping the water consistently warm.
But it couldn't account for a second person suddenly joining her, and the disturbance was enough to wake her.
She had barely opened her eyes when a soft pressure met her lips.
“Mmm…”
Before she could resist, her hands were pinned together and lifted high above her head.
Wiona was forced to arch her back.
The touch on her lips moved lower…
Her eyes glazed over, and a soft sound escaped her.
When her hands were finally released, she couldn’t help but cup Conrad’s face.
“What time is it?” she asked drowsily.
Conrad lifted his head, kissing her flushed cheek with a gentle force.
“You still have the energy to worry about the time?”
“It seems I’ve been too gentle, haven’t I?”
His next movements were, indeed, far more commanding.
Wiona was filled with instant regret.
She could barely take it, and it was only after she’d left a series of scratches on his arms that he finally let her be.
By the time she was a boneless heap under the covers, it was already one thirty in the morning.
