Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 708

“You and Mrs. Sullivan are clear for takeoff whenever you’re ready.”

Korey ended the call, excitement lighting up his face as he strode out of his office. He clapped his hands to catch everyone’s attention.

“Alright, everyone,” he said, flashing a slow, confident smile at the executive team, “get ready. Something huge is about to happen for our company.”

Wiona stepped into the helicopter, still feeling a little dazed. Everything was happening so fast. Conrad gently placed a headset on her, buckled her seatbelt, and handed her a pair of goggles.

“Wiona, ready for takeoff?”

With that, Conrad took the controls. Wiona couldn’t help but watch him with admiration as the helicopter lifted smoothly into the air.

She’d never been in a helicopter before. At first, they didn’t go very high, so she could look down and see all of Stonehill spread out below, the skyscrapers rising up like pieces on a giant board. She’d never realized how big the city was until now.

Gradually, the busy streets turned into thin lines, and the buildings looked like scattered blocks. Stonehill shrank away behind them, growing smaller and farther until it was just a speck. That’s when Wiona realized they were leaving the city, heading east toward the ocean.

Her heart was pounding. Suddenly, Conrad’s voice came through her headset.

“Nervous?”

His voice was as gentle as always. Wiona smiled and shook her head.

“With you here? Not a chance.”

“I trust your flying, Captain.”

What she didn’t say was that a man who could fly a helicopter was ridiculously attractive. She had no idea Conrad had this hidden talent. He didn’t even need a pilot’s uniform to look good. Just him in black, wearing a headset and goggles, calmly working the controls—Wiona couldn’t take her eyes off him.

“Wiona, if you keep staring at me like that, I might actually blush,” Conrad teased, glancing over at her with a grin.

Their eyes met, and Wiona didn’t look away. “Oh, yeah? What do you look like when you blush?”

Conrad shook his head, smiling. “You’re getting bold, you know that?”

“And I can’t wait to see how bold you get tonight.”

Wiona was speechless for a second. Okay, he totally won that round.

“Captain Sullivan, maybe you should focus on flying right now.”

Conrad grinned. “Yes, ma’am. Message received, Ms. Morgan.”

“Hold on tight.”

He turned the helicopter, soaring through the clouds and toward the endless blue of the sea. Another helicopter followed behind, carrying Peter and the rest of the security team, sticking close.

“Wiona, there’s some turbulence ahead.”

Wiona couldn’t help herself. She was falling in love with this place. What woman didn’t dream of having her own private island?

She let go of all her usual restraint, grabbed Conrad’s hand, and started running.

“I can’t wait to see it all!” she shouted, practically bubbling over. “Come on, Conrad, hurry!”

She was like a bird finally set free, darting from one part of the villa to another, upstairs and down, dragging Conrad along, exploring every corner. The more she saw, the more she loved it. She didn’t want to leave a single spot unseen.

The staff who usually looked after the island had already been sent away, along with Peter and his team. There was no one else around. Just the two of them, alone on this whole island.

Wiona climbed up to the roof, faced the endless blue ocean, and shouted at the top of her lungs, “Hey!”

“Anybody out there?”

No one could hear her. There was no one to judge, no one to care.

She let herself go completely.

“It’s just us here!” she yelled, laughing.

“Tonight, the world belongs to us!”
