Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 663

Bronwen rushed out, leaving Wilson alone on the hospital bed, his mind spinning. He kept mumbling, “How could she possibly know? There’s no way she could know. That place… only Louisa… Louisa knows.”

He tried to piece it together, talking to himself. “I’ve only ever taken Louisa back to the old home. She’s the only one who knows I have a room there that no one else is allowed in. Even Bronwen has never set foot in my hometown. So really, only Louisa could know.”

“Bronwen always looked down on Riverdale. She looked down on me for being from the countryside. She never understood that it’s the only place where I can actually breathe. But this secret… no one else in the world knows. Louisa… Is it possible? Is it her?”

Wilson’s thoughts were a tangled mess. His left hand shook as he grabbed his phone and scrolled to his daughter’s number, dialing quickly.

He’d been in the hospital for days, and Louisa hadn’t visited once. The blow-up at home that night had made it clear—his daughter resented him now. Still, she was family. Louisa would never do anything to hurt them. She was like her mother, always loyal, always on his side. She’d never betray him.

It took three calls before Louisa finally picked up.

“Hello?” Her voice was cold, more than a little impatient.

Wilson didn’t waste time. “Louisa, where are you? Why haven’t you come to see me these past few days?”

“Louisa, you don’t know how much pain I’m in. My right hand is gone. I only have one hand now. I’m… I’m basically a cripple. I don’t know how to accept it. Louisa, you’re my only precious girl. Won’t you come see your dad?”

He tried to sound like he was about to cry.

Louisa had no idea about his injury, and she sounded genuinely shocked. “Y-your hand is gone? Dad… how did that happen…” Her voice wavered, like she couldn’t quite take it in.

“I’ll come see you tomorrow, okay?” She softened, and Wilson could hear it. No matter how angry she was, she still cared. He was her dad.

But Wilson wasn’t really worried about a visit. He had one thing on his mind. “Louisa, you didn’t tell anyone about my secret room, did you?”

She paused. “Dad, what secret room? Are you talking about the old house back home?”

Wilson rushed to explain. “Yes, Louisa. Every time I took you back there, I’d stay in that old house for half the day. You always called it my secret room, remember? Louisa, you have to remember, that’s our secret. You can’t tell anyone about it.”

“Louisa, you didn’t, right?”

Of course Louisa wasn’t going to tell the truth. She’d already told Wiona, and she’d even brought her there.
