“They’ll think you’ve lost your mind.”
“They’ll put you in a psych ward, and you’ll never see the outside again.”
“If that’s what you want, go ahead, ignore me, do whatever you want, spiral as much as you like.”
“But if you listen to me…”
“Trust me, I’ll make sure you get everything you deserve. All those people who ever hurt you, they’ll pay for it.”
Bianca swallowed every ounce of fear and humiliation, anger and heartbreak, burning in her chest.
She stood up slowly, took a steadying breath, and with everything she had, brought her palm across Kellen’s face.
The slap echoed through the room—loud and sharp.
“You bitch!”
“Who do you think you are, standing here, bossing me around?”
“I told you, you’re nothing.”
“You really think you deserve to marry my brother?”
“Jace, today I’ll show you, and everyone else, and the whole world what she’s really like!”
With that, Bianca pointed her trembling finger at the giant screen behind them.
“Play it.”
The screen still showed the wedding logo for Jace and Kellen, all soft colors and pretty fonts.
The crowd, who’d been waiting for drama, started murmuring impatiently.
“What’s she even playing?”
“Yeah, is she just bluffing?”
“There’s nothing there! Ms. Salisbury, stop embarrassing yourself! Just get down from there!”
Laughter bubbled up from a few people.
Kellen held her burning cheek, glaring at Bianca, a cold smile twisting her lips.
“Well?”
“Bianca, I have nothing to hide. I’m innocent. What kind of show are you putting on—”
She didn’t even finish. The screen flickered, then suddenly, graphic scenes filled the room.
Bodies tangled together, the explicit parts blurred out but everything else far too clear.
The number of people looked straight out of an adult movie.
The room went silent, every eye glued to the screen, unsure if this was some tech mistake.
But then the girl’s face turned to the camera.
That face!
No question.
It belonged to today’s bride—Kellen.
Holy shit!
“It’s the bride!”
“Damn, this is insane!”
