Chapter 891: Superhead The Battle

The school gym had been completely transformed into a war room overnight.

The basketball hoops still hung overhead, but the atmosphere inside the space no longer resembled anything remotely connected to school life.

A massive rectangular table had been dragged into the center of the gym with a detailed map spread across its surface. Smaller maps, papers, and handwritten notes littered the edges while different colored figures had been placed strategically across various locations. Some of them represented wolves, the others were Duskmoon Village and possible enemy positions.

The scent of tension sat thickly in the room.

Only the main alphas remained inside discussing strategy while the sub-alphas organized the other wolves outside for battle preparations. Through the gym doors came muffled sounds of movement, weapons being sorted, and wolves barking orders.

Elijah stood near the edge of the table with both palms pressed against its surface, his gaze fixed on the map.

"So in the end..." His voice carried a trace of bitterness sharp enough to cut flesh. "My brother still lives."

From the direction of his gaze, it was painfully obvious who he blamed for that.

Violet.

"After today, he won’t."

Irene’s response came simple and cold, effectively killing any chance of tension escalating further.

Micah took over before the atmosphere could worsen and pointed toward the map.

"Duskmoon Village is located deep within District Five." His finger tapped a forested region marked on the map. "It’s never exactly been a secret that witches populated the district. But because they remained under the radar and blended in with ordinary humans, the government mostly ignored them."

Asher leaned one shoulder against the table.

"Or," he corrected dryly, "the witches enchanted the place well enough that the government stopped caring to investigate."

Micah pointed toward him. "That too."

He continued, "From everything I’ve gathered, nobody leaves Duskmoon Village without permission. It’s an isolated society. Trade with outsiders is heavily controlled and monitored.

"They keep information contained." Micah moved another figure across the map. "People go missing there all the time and nobody asks questions because the witches make sure of it. There’s also talk about a deterrent spell surrounding the village."

Leon frowned immediately.

"A deterrent spell?"

"It’s a type of enchantment designed to redirect outsiders before they can enter," Micah explained. "People attempting to approach suddenly change direction without realizing it. They forget why they came or lose interest entirely."

His expression grew grim.

"That’s another reason nobody successfully sneaks into the village. The witches are quite cautious."

Violet spoke then. "I can burn through the spell."

The room’s attention shifted toward her instantly.

Asher nodded in agreement.

"And if the enchantment somehow distracts her mentally," he added, "I’ll remain positioned nearby to pull her back out of it.A spell like that wouldn’t be able to trap me without me noticing."

Violet smiled. That arrangement worked.

Micah moved four figures across the map representing Violet and the three Cardinal Alphas

"The four of you move first," he instructed. "The rest of the wolves remain outside the village perimeter until the signal."

Elijah frowned immediately.
