Chapter 1152 Distracting Violet
"If Lennon shows up with Violet later, pretend to be Damien. Tell her you want to talk and pull her aside."
Colin hesitated before replying, "...I don't think your plan will work."
Cherise rolled her eyes. "Why not? I'm telling you, you just don't get Violet like I do! She was originally interested in my husband, but when she realized she couldn't have him, she settled for second best and went for Lennon instead. If I hadn't married my husband back then, Lennon would still be single!"
Colin remained silent, unsure of what to say next.
As they spoke, the café door swung open. Ever since Lennon and Violet had become engaged, Violet had been constantly by Lennon's side, except during working hours, just as Cherise had foreseen, even when Lucy made plans with Lennon!
Pursing her lips, Cherise covered her face with the menu and whispered urgently to Colin, "Go on! Quickly! With Violet here, Lucy's discussion with Lennon will surely go south. Then, you'll need to step in and smooth things over with Lennon yourself! Move!"
Since Cherise had said so, Colin had no other way. He braced himself, reluctantly stood, and made his way toward Lennon and Violet. Lennon had long noticed Colin but made no effort to acknowledge him. Instead, it was Violet who looked surprised. Her eyes widened as she exclaimed, "Damien!"
Colin let out an awkward chuckle and waved to Violet. "L-Long time no see!"
"Great!" Violet beamed, her smile radiant. "Let's go, Damien!" She then glanced at Lennon, saying, "Lennon, I'm going to have a chat with Damien. You go ahead and meet her alone. Just don't linger too long; make sure to come back early!"
A flicker of indifference passed over Lennon's face, but he quickly smiled and responded, "Sure." Casting a brief glance at Colin, he added, "Please look after my fiancée, Damien."
Colin, feeling uneasy under Lennon's gaze, coughed softly. "I will."
"Damien, let's go!" Violet led the way with a smile. "I actually don't like cafés. I prefer bars. Only boring people will meet in cafés..." In reality, she had two reasons for joining Lennon to meet Lucy that day.
