Jackson was sitting on the couch, fiddling with his phone. He scrolled towards Tiffany’s number then went back to his homepage, as if he wanted to call but was hesitant.

Suddenly, he received a call. His heart leaped in excitement until he realized that it wasn’t a call from Tiffany at all. It was from Lynn. His expression sank and he rejected the call.

Lynn quickly sent a message: ‘You must be deliberating over calling Tiffany, right? I’m sure you’re unaware that she has just said goodbye to Alejandro after having dinner with him.’

A wave of emotions engulfed Jackson’s heart when he saw those words. He did not want to reply to Lynn, so he called Tiffany straight away. Tiffany had just gotten down from the car. She was still slightly upset over the things that she had spoken to Alejandro about, so her tone sounded weary. “What is it? Get to the point.”

Jackson was feeling jealous. His tone wasn’t any better. “How was dinner? If you have any intentions towards Alejandro, you should be frank about it. I certainly won’t stand in your way. In fact, I’ll fan the flames for your passionate affair!”
