Dangerous Love: You Are My One and Only Bride novel Chapter 839

This was Summer’s first time meddling in his personal affairs. It didn’t actually annoy Jackson, but he instinctively tried to solidify Tiffany’s image in Summer’s mind. “She hasn’t been going home at night because she’s been sleeping at mine. What are you thinking? I’m aware of everything you’ve said. Don’t worry. You haven’t answered my question; who told you? You couldn’t have sent someone to investigate, could you? Are you really that bored?”

“Oh, she’s really been sleeping over at your place?” Summer questioned. “There’s still hope for you two then? Tiffie’s housemate told me… You know, that girl named Tanya. She seemed like an honest girl, so I don’t think she’d be lying to me. Besides, she’s Tiffie’s friend. I certainly wouldn’t send an investigator. I’m not that bored!”

Tanya told her? Something didn’t feel right to Jackson. Wasn’t Tanya aware of Tiffany’s sleepovers at his place? Or perhaps… Had Tiffany been sleeping over in someone else’s home, aside from his? The more he thought of it, the more upset he became. “If there’s nothing else, I’ve got to go, mom. It’s not what you think, so stop worrying.”

He had just taken two steps when Summer reminded him, “If you plan on accepting whatever happened, you must accept it thoroughly. Don’t burden the girl. Life isn’t smooth-sailing. You’ll always run into the unexpected, but it doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve happiness in the next part of your life. I can tell that you’re truly in love with her, which is why I’m putting in so much effort.”

Obviously, Jackson could detect the underlying meaning in Summer’s reminder. He couldn’t help feeling moved despite his mess of complicated feelings. “I know… Mom, thank you for understanding. I’m coming home for dinner tonight. See you.”

He went back into the car. After a bout of hesitation, he sent a message to Tanya: ‘Has Tiffie slept over anywhere else, aside from my place?’

Suspicion was a common bane among humans. He was insecure at this point.

Arianne smiled. “Unfortunately, the baby won’t be discharged along with me. I still haven’t been able to hold him… Besides, I’m not allowed to go home after my discharge. Mark insisted on sending me off to a confinement center to get proper bedrest. Apparently, women should have adequate bedrest after giving birth. As if he’s the expert.”

Her casual remark was seen as “showing off”. Tiffany clicked her tongue. “Oh my, are you showing off your husband’s love to us? We’re all very much aware. Mark may seem cold and unfeeling on the outside, but he can be very attentive sometimes. That confinement center that he’s chosen costs at least 15 grand. Wealthy people are certainly willful.”

Spending six figures and above, just for bedrest? This went beyond Tanya’s imagination. She had no way of joining the conversation either. She felt out of place again, and could only stand aside and smile along.
