The night went by and darkness quietly slipped away in dreams.
As the sun rose in the east, a new day began.
At Wildridge Manor in Wiltspoon, Serenity came down from upstairs.
“Liberty!”
Hearing that her sister had arrived, she quickly rushed downstairs.
Tania was chatting with Liberty.
Upon hearing Serenity’s voice, both of them turned to look at her.
Serenity approached, greeted her mother-in-law, and then sat next to her sister, asking, “Liberty, how come you’re free to come and see me today?”
As the words fell, Liberty playfully tapped her forehead with a finger.
“Isn’t it a good thing that I came to see you? Don’t you welcome me?”
Serenity immediately embraced Liberty’s arm and laughed. “Very much welcome! It’s just that you have been so busy lately, always too occupied to come and see me. When I visit you, you always say the restaurant is crowded, afraid someone might accidentally bump into me, so you don’t let me stay there for too long.”
“I’m just concerned about you, not forbidding you to stay there.”
“Has Sonny come back yet?”
Serenity and Zachary picked up Sonny and took him to the Browns’ place yesterday afternoon. Hank insisted that Sonny stay for dinner and Sonny ended up staying the night.
Hank had previously told Serenity and her husband that they should take Sonny home after dinner.
“He’s back. Since it was late, Sonny stayed the night. Hank dropped him off at my restaurant. He didn’t enter, just left Sonny at the entrance and went away. Sonny’s here now, and already went out to play. When he comes to the manor, there’s never a quiet moment.”
Serenity chuckled. “Kids are like that. I thought he would stay at the Browns’ place for the weekend.”
“I’ll leave you two to catch up. I’ll go and find Sonny.”
Tania quickly left, allowing the sisters to have a good conversation.
Tania could tell that this time Liberty came over because she wanted to talk to Serenity about something.
“Liberty, when you came in, was Zachary in the house?”
Not seeing her husband, Serenity asked.
“Sonny didn't run out by himself, Zachary took him.”
Serenity hummed in acknowledgment and served food to her sister. Liberty smiled and said, "Don't snack too much, or you'll gain weight. Gaining weight is easy, losing it is too difficult."
It took her a year for her to successfully lose weight.
