Cupid's Arrow hit me hard! novel Chapter 2016

“Mom’s maiden family might be the Fishers of Jensburg, and her parents might’ve been killed by the Fishers’ current family head. If Mom is really a Fisher, then the family head is my second aunt and possibly Mom’s enemy who killed her parents.”

Elisa simply told her dad what happened.

When Mr. Stone heard what she said, he knew things were bad.

He immediately said to her, “Okay, I’ll go back now. It’s not that I don’t want to stay by your mom’s side. She said the fish in the river is more delicious grilled, so I come here every day to fish for her.”

Mr. Stone loved his wife the most in his life. How could he leave her alone and only care about his happiness?

He had been going fishing every day lately because of what his wife said.

Elisa replied to him, “Drive slowly when you come back later.”

“Got it.”

Mr. Stone quickly hung up and collected his rod, ready to go home to keep his wife company.

After her dad hung up the phone, Elisa said to Serenity, “My dad just showed off his love for my mom to me again. I thought he changed, but he has been fishing lately because she said that the fish in the river tastes better grilled, so he has been going fishing every day.”

Serenity commented with a smile, “Your parents’ relationship is very good. They were married young and are lifelong companions now, and their relationship has always been as good as it first was. A couple with such a bond is the most enviable.”

A happy family with filial children.

Serenity’s aunt was more fortunate and happier than her mom.

“Remy bought that big villa for you and even decorated it according to your preference. You’ll definitely live there after marriage, and your parents’ home will be so close.”

Serenity added enviously, “By right, I’m happy now and shouldn’t be dissatisfied anymore. I don’t dare to be dissatisfied either, but I still have regrets. When Liberty and I want to go back to our parents’ home, we can only see the house left by our parents.

“When other people go home, their old parents are waiting for them to make good food for them; when Liberty and I go home, we can only look at things and think of our parents. We can’t see them, and we can’t hear their exhortations.

“When you’re exhorted by your parents, you might feel that they’re naggy, but you don’t know how much one can miss that.”

Elisa held Serenity’s hands and said, “Seren, Liberty’s home is your home, and so is mine. My parents can’t replace yours, but they treat you as their daughter.

“Come over whenever you want to go home. If you want to be exhorted, my mom can nag you so much that you’d want to cover your ears.”
