Cupid's Arrow hit me hard! novel Chapter 1930

Julian’s words and actions left Audrey feeling disbelief.

Julian said that he carefully prepared that bouquet with Elisa in mind!

What was going on?

After Julian did that, he ignored everyone’s reaction and said to Audrey, “Mrs. Stone, I’ll go in for a glass of water. I won’t stay long.”

Audrey snapped back to her senses. Regardless of what Julian’s motive was, she first invited him into the house.

Alice personally poured a glass of warm water for him.

She and Audrey sat together and looked at Julian, who was drinking the warm water. Then, when Elisa and Remy entered, their gazes turned to the couple instead. In short, their gaze flickered between the three people.

Audrey was the elder, so Julian had to show her some respect. She could not help but ask for clarification.

She asked Julian, “Mr. Bucham, what did you mean by that earlier? Why did you come back with Elisa? You also said that you carefully prepared the bouquet with Elisa in mind?”

“I heard that Elisa was returning from a business trip today, so I went to fetch her from the airport. That’s why we came back together. However, Mr. Johnson also went to pick her up, so it got a little crowded. Two’s company, but three’s a crowd.

“Yes, I carefully prepared the bouquet for Elisa. Mrs. Stone, it’s my first time sending flowers to a girl, and I don’t know what kind of flower Elisa likes. I gave her my flowers at the airport, but Mr. Johnson took them away and gave her the flowers that he bought instead. Elisa disliked my bouquet.”

Elisa was speechless.

In what capacity did she receive Julian’s flowers?

Although Julian said that he would pursue her and compete fairly with Remy, his actions were simply inexplicable.

Elisa did not believe that he was telling the truth.

There was no love at all in his eyes when he looked at her.

Everything Julian was doing seemed more like he was completing a task.

He said the words “short-term”.

This let Audrey know that Julian was not serious.

However, why was he competing with Remy over Elisa?

Was he traumatized because of the eight hundred blind dates that his father arranged for him?

Was that why he was using Elisa as a shield? Furthermore, he would not have to worry about Elisa pestering him because she was deeply in love with Remy.

Unless Remy did not want Elisa anymore, Elisa would not let go of her feelings again.

She had already let go of a relationship that did not belong to her, and she had already been hurt before.

“Mrs. Stone, I still have work to attend to, so I’ll be taking my leave. I’ll come over for dinner another day when I’m free. Mr. Johnson, you should stay for dinner if you have nothing else to do.”
