Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 884

Yvonne huffed, “Easy for you to say—you’re not the one stuck dealing with Hull and Ronald’s feud.”

Hull had always run with Ronald over the years, that much was true.

But if anyone really understood how much muscle Hull had on his own, it was Yvonne.

Xander just shrugged, “Well, your brother Ronald’s got him.”

Yvonne: “…”

The room fell dead silent.

Yvonne, who’d been lounging lazily on the bed, shot straight up at Xander’s words.

She stared at him in total disbelief. “Wait, what did you just say? Say that again?”

Xander: “I said, your brother Ronald has him. So why are you freaking out?”

Yvonne: “!!!”

Hold up…

Ronald has him?

“That can’t be right! If my brother had him, I’d know about it, wouldn’t I?”

Xander: “Guess what? You really don’t know.”

Yvonne: “???”

Silence, again.

Yvonne just gaped at Xander, looking completely stunned.

He reached over and pinched her cheek, grinning, “Brain short-circuited, huh?”

Yvonne, still reeling: “No, I mean… this can’t be right—”

“…”

“How could he be with my brother?”

Xander: “Yeah, how could he? What’s Ronald planning to do with Black Gate, anyway?”

Xander sounded pretty frustrated now.

Ronald really had them all dancing to his tune…

Xander was starting to wonder if everything he’d fought for—the old Loutan estate, the other properties—were about to slip right through his fingers.

He might’ve just done all the dirty work for Ronald without even knowing.

Fuming, he gritted his teeth.

Yvonne blinked, mouth twitching. “Are you sure about this?”

“I asked him myself.”

Yvonne: “…”

Yvonne: “I’m warning you, that is not okay! She’s Star’s best friend. If you mess with her, I’m teaming up with Star and we’re coming after you.”

Yvonne’s mind was a chaotic mess.

She couldn’t figure out why Ronald would want Susanna, but Xander had sounded so certain.

It really worried her…

After all, when Star disappeared for those three years, Yvonne had practically lost her mind searching for her.

If Susanna went missing now, where would she even start looking?

The thought was terrifying.

Ronald, hearing Yvonne’s wild guess, immediately scowled.

When he didn’t answer, Yvonne got anxious. “Ronald.”

“Honestly, I’m starting to think marrying Xander was a huge mistake.”

Yvonne: “What?!”

How did this suddenly become about her and Xander?

Ronald’s voice was low and annoyed. “He’s always been an idiot, and now he’s rubbing off on you.”

Yvonne: “…”
