Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 679

Yvonne stormed through the capital city of Ferrowland with her entourage, tearing up half the town in search of Dan.

Just yesterday, he’d been talking all big about how he wanted to see her divorce Xander with his own eyes.

But today? He wasn’t even answering her calls.

Yvonne was already furious, and now she had to hunt the guy down? That was it—the anger just exploded.

At the country club—

Yvonne marched up to the VIP room, a squad of twenty burly bodyguards trailing behind her like a pack of linebackers. She stopped at the door and, through the wood, could hear the unmistakable clack of poker chips and the low rumble of men’s voices.

Yvonne’s eyes narrowed.

Was he seriously playing poker? After pulling all that crap last night? Did Dan really think sleeping with her meant she’d just run off and divorce Xander for him?

So he just waltzed in here to play poker with his buddies, not a care in the world?

Inside, the guys were in the middle of a heated hand, drinks in hand and pizza boxes strewn across the table.

One of them nudged Dan. “Man, you remember back in the day how Princess Yvonne was always chasing after you? How’d she end up marrying Xander, of all people?”

Another snorted. “Yeah, Dan, maybe she was just trying to get back at you.”

Everyone in Dan’s circle had always thought Yvonne was obsessed with him.

Dan kept his cards close to his chest, saying nothing.

A third chimed in, “Honestly, Dan, after what you pulled back then, I don’t blame her for being pissed.”

“Yeah, dude, she was crazy about you when you left. You didn’t see it, but she nearly lost her mind.”

Yvonne, still fuming from last night, heard those words—*what you pulled back then*—and her blood ran cold.

What the hell did he do back then? Did Dan really fake his own death or something?

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got.

And to top it off, here he was, playing poker and gossiping about how much she’d loved him.

Amidst the mayhem, Yvonne pushed her way to Dan, grabbed him by the collar, and unleashed a barrage of punches.

“Feel good messing with my heart, Dan? Think this is funny?”

Her fists came down like a hailstorm, landing blows on Dan’s head and face. She wasn’t holding back.

After a few solid hits, blood trickled from the corner of Dan’s mouth.

The room was chaos—shouting, fighting, bodies everywhere. And when Yvonne went in for another punch, this time Dan caught her wrist, his grip tight.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” he snapped, dazed and bleeding.

Yvonne spat, “What’s wrong with me? You really don’t know?”

“Oh, so after playing games with me, now you want to play dumb?”

Still blind with rage, she swung with her other fist, aiming right for his head.

Dan had no idea what hit him. First, he got jumped by Yvonne’s bodyguards, and now she was losing her mind, attacking him with everything she had.
