Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 1176

Ronald Quinn ordered, "Give everyone a bonus equal to six months' salary."

"Thank you, Boss."

A six-month bonus energized the entire staff. The pay at the Quinn family estate was already generous, but an extra six months' salary was a massive windfall. It was exactly this level of compensation that kept the staff fiercely loyal and ensured there were no moles within the household. The benefits were simply unmatched.

Lottie arrived shortly after. Seeing Ronald instructing the staff to carefully remove Stella Quinn's makeup, a warm smile touched her lips.

In the study.

Ronald walked in just as Lottie was signing a document.

Seeing him, she couldn't help but sigh wistfully. "That sweet little girl. When she was small, I constantly worried she'd be bullied if she married into another family. I even considered making her future husband move in with us."

"Well, I suppose I don't have to worry about a thing anymore," she added.

Ronald sat across the desk, remaining silent.

Lottie was speaking the truth. Even though Stella had ruthlessly torn the Larkin family apart in Portis City, she had always been a gentle, soft-spoken child. She was nothing like the fiercely independent Yvonne Quinn. Though Stella wasn't her biological daughter, Lottie had always worried about her gentle nature and planned for her future early on.

"When did it start?" Lottie finally asked, unable to contain her curiosity.

Having spent years raising them, she had always assumed Ronald's affection for Stella was purely platonic. She had completely missed the romantic tension between them.

Ronald met her gaze. "Just like you, I was worried she'd be bullied."
