Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 1133

In the end, Uriah unsurprisingly refused to answer their questions.

Met with his silence, Tegan simply turned and walked away. Uriah reached out to grab her.

But Finley stepped smoothly into his path. "Is it really that hard to answer such a simple question? Looks like you knew all along."

"Get out of my way!" Uriah snapped.

"I just had lunch," Finley remarked casually.

Uriah paused.

Hearing this, he shot Finley an incredulous look. "Are you out of your mind?"

What did Finley eating lunch have to do with anything?

Sure, Uriah hadn't eaten, but was eating a meal really something to brag about?

"Tegan brought it for me," Finley added with a smirk.

Uriah, who had been about to shove Finley aside to chase Tegan, felt a sharp, twisting pang in his chest.

That damn girl had never brought him food.

After Miriam finished getting her IV drip, Tegan drove her straight back to the hotel.

The entire ride, Miriam didn't stop talking, unleashing a continuous stream of curses aimed at Uriah.

It was only then that Tegan learned that the woman who had climbed into Miriam's fiancé's bed last night was Uriah's cousin, Quintessa.

No wonder she had been so furious she tracked down Uriah for a physical fight.

Since she couldn't punish Quintessa right now.

She naturally took it out on the closest Horner family member she could find. Helena hadn't been spared either, catching a few solid slaps in the process.

"This damn Yoreland weather. The whole place should just get buried in snow," Miriam fumed, half-dead from anger.

She was desperate to fly back and deal with that cheating couple.

But she was stuck here. What kind of nightmare was this?

Suddenly, Miriam noticed the chilblains on the back of Tegan's hands. "Wait, you got frostbite? Yoreland really is freezing."

"It happened when I was out on the cliff that day," Tegan replied softly.

Normally, they were either in a heated car or a climate-controlled room, so getting frostbite was basically impossible otherwise.

Hearing Tegan mention the cliff, Miriam momentarily froze.

She instantly recalled Uriah's dismissive attitude when Tegan had been kidnapped.

"Do not forgive Uriah. He is not the right man for you."

"I know," Tegan said calmly. "I already have someone I like."
