Tegan sneaked up behind the crowd at Uriah's door, only to see Miriam violently beating Uriah like a madwoman.
She clutched a pillow, smashing it against Uriah's body in a frenzy.
She kept cursing, "You shameless family! Are you blind? Every single woman in your family is a slut!"
Uriah's face was livid, a terrifying hostility rolling off him.
Helena hurried forward to stop Miriam, but she ended up catching a few sharp slaps across the face.
Her head felt like it was splitting open.
Miriam had completely lost her mind. The thought of Quintessa in bed with Gideon pushed her over the edge.
And Quintessa had constantly been visiting the Gills family!
Unable to return home to deal with them right now, Miriam unleashed all her fury on Uriah.
Tegan watched the usually well-behaved girl snap, feeling a jolt of shock.
Uriah caught Miriam's wrist in a vise grip. "Enough."
Miriam snapped back, "Enough? What's enough? Your own sister treats you like a husband and drove away your future wife!"
"And now your cousin is stealing someone else's husband. It's Gideon's wedding day, and she climbed into his bed last night!"
"If your entire family isn't shameless, then what are you?"
Miriam's mouth fired off like a machine gun, blasting Uriah with every word.
Uriah felt a throbbing headache coming on.
Miriam continued, "You tell me to shut up? You won't let me speak? Leslie plays the innocent victim right under your nose, and you still call her pure."
At the mention of Leslie, Uriah's face sank completely. "Shut up!"
"I won't! What, am I wrong? Let me tell you, Uriah, I am not done with the Horner family."
Miriam was past the point of reason, no longer caring that Leslie was Uriah's absolute bottom line.
"You treat a sister better than your own girlfriend. You know why your sisters are so shameless? You enable them."
"Quintessa is so blatantly awful because she learned it from Leslie. Leslie is shameless, and you don't stop her. So she acts the exact same way. Now all the women in your family are just as despicable."
The onlookers watching the drama unfold were stunned. That was quite the bombshell.
