Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties novel Chapter 63

WHAT DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING? WHAT WAS THE INSTRUCTION, WHAT DID YOU END UP DOING?

Damien had found his time to scold the wolf. They both were seated in the other safehouse which was not far from the castle, within the perimeter of the fenced compound.

~ i think it's time you learnt how to appreciate without being a dick ~

Damien knew she had just cussed him, but the funny thing was, she was looking in another direction as though he was equal to nothing to her.

DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?

~ say something else. this would be your hundredth of repeating the same thing. don't you get tired? ~

Damien scoffed. He didn't have time for this. He knew he should be weaving the clothes of the Cannibals. Instead he was here bickering with the wolf.

He had spent his day sleeping. It was evening. The orange rays of the sun had been splattered across the endless blue track of the sky. He was not far from the door, and could see the sky clearly.

He knew that it was a matter of time before Laurette comes to him to give report. Tomorrow would mark the beginning of the celebration of their one month stay on the island.

Also, he had decided that after he gets the report, and had fed the ladies, he would go into the woods. He would be working through the night. He had slept in the afternoon. He didn't land on the island to satisfy the insatiable urge of his eyes.

ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE, WHY DID YOU BRING THE GIRLS?

~ what were you thinking? the cannibals knew better? they would be able to save you? ~

Damien's eyes gave an expression impressed by disbelief.

THIS FOOL! DID YOU KNOW WHAT THAT DUMMY APPLY ON MY WOUND? I COULD BE DEAD NOW IF -- JUST FORGET IT.

~ then why aren't you dead yet. that would make the wishes of many of us come true. ~

Damien should feel offended by what she had just said, but he didn't. There was no point. He was gradually feeding his mind, making it grow into a very mature state.

He was silent for a while. The awkward silence didn't last for long. Suddenly, he heard approaching footsteps.

LOOK AWAY.

He called at Der who snapped.

~ was I looking at you in the first place? who told you that I'm in interested in whatever y'all do? ~

He chuckled. Laurette got to the door of the safehouse.

"Come in."

He called. She looked past him and saw the wolf. She flinched.

"I'm not petty enough to feed you to her. Just come in already."

He pretended as though he didn't care what her reactions were. She slowly walked into the safehouse. He didn't expect her to, though. He thought she would be scared to step in.

"You can touch her if you want?"

Damien was determined to see how bold she was. Was she all mouth or could she match up her words with actions? For all he knew, she had a very swift tongue. An absolute opposite of her twin sister, Mira.

"Really?"

There was a strange light that sparked in her eyes.

WOULD SHE?

He thought.

"Go ahead."

He nodded towards Der. Der slowly looked at him. He winked at the wolf.

"What if she hurts me?"

Laurette was the first person amongst the girls to get the gender of the wolf right for the first time.

"You think too much. You should had said that I'm an imbecile who can't lift a hand. Because I'd watch him do that?"

He sneered. To think of it, Damien felt like he was being a little bit pushy, which had the tendencies of shooting up the pettiness in him. He didn't really care at that moment.

"Please Damien?"

She gulped and walked even closer to the wolf.

BASTARD, LOOK TO THE FRONT FIRST.

He scolded the wolf who was still looking at him. The wolf slowly looked back to the front, to the cold wooden walls.

She got to the tail of the wolf and began to push her body slowly towards the lying frame of the wolf. Damien could see her legs shaking.

"Steady yourself else you would fall on her. And I won't be able to guarantee your safety by then."

Damien was being extra. He should? Haven't they done worst?

"Okay"

She gulped again, going down till her soft palm touched the backside of the wolf.

"Damien."

She was shivering as her palm touched the Wolf's fur. She looked at Damien who schooled,

"Feel comfortable."

"Okay. "

She stuttered, changing her position to a squat. She glid her palm slowly up the Wolf's beautiful fur which flowed under her touch.

"How does it feel?"

"Oh my God, Damien... this feels so surreal. I can't imagine being close to a wolf, let alone touching it. Thank you."

Her thoughtful words made him change his mind. She isn't bad after all. It seemed as though there were still a bunch of things to know about the girls.

She turned to leave.

"You haven't given me the report."

She halted reluctantly,

"The girls will keep it a secret from you. Just worry about the rewards. Jerk!!"

She repeated and stomped off. Damien watched her go. His eyes glued on her booties as they shook heavily to the rhythm of her violent legs.

"Oh fuck!!"

He bit his lower lips.

WHY DIDN'T I NOTICE BEFORE NOW? THAT BIG ASS, BRUH.

He looked to his front as though there was someone there.

NEVER AGAIN BE BLINDED BY HOW SASSY SHE IS, ELSE YOU WOULD MISS AN IMPORTANT DETAIL ABOUT HER LIKE I DID. HOW COULD I MISS AN ASS THAT BIG? YOU DON'T WANT TO AFFORD THE MISTAKE.

He shook his head as though he was trying to snap out of a spell's enchantment. He stood up and walked out of the safehouse. He observed the sky. There was no sun in the sky anymore, but there were still scribbles of its orange rays. It was just a matter of time before gloom creep on the island.

He walked to the castle and entered. The girls, seeing him, stopped what they were doing. Like he cared, he walked to the kitchen. He prepared broth, meat, and rice. There wasn't much fruits for wine. He didn't have much time to get that done.

By the time he was done, the jungle hood was becoming moody, and light was growing dimmer. He walked out of the kitchen.

"Good job, girls. You can eat without me. I might not be home this night. None of you should wander off into the woods. Anyone who does would have herself to blame."

He nodded and walked away.

"Where are you going?"

Allison asked the question for the rest.

"I have things to do. I won't go into details. Sleep well."

His eyes strayed to Laurette who glared, rolling her eyes. He chuckled softly at her. Claire noticed his reaction and traced his smile to the person in question, Laurette. Claire's brows knitted.

Damien turned away.

"Now's time to work."

He headed towards the wooden gate of the fence.

"Why haven't these fools return yet? Did they not catch the lion?"

He was walking through the woods in the direction of the Bast fibres which had been processed. He wasn't sure whether or not working at night was a good idea. But what was there to be scared of?

He got to the tree and started to work. He had enough torches lighting that corner of the woods up, so work wouldn't be of much hassle.

He removed his top. He needed full concentration. He hoped that he wouldn't get an uninvited guest. That was the only bother.
