The batmobile was going at the front, and the limo coming behind. Damien didn't have to look at his back, he was rest assured that things would go according to his plans.
Even though Mathew could be a dick head who is brave and daring over the phone but a coward who pisses his pants in reality, yet he knew he could trust him with something like this.
Not because he had known Mathew since forever, but because he knew that Mathew wouldn't play with his own life. Damien had warned that he would break his bones one after the other, while he's still alive.
Plus, Mathew wouldn't want to play smart when her potential sister might be among one of the girls. So did Damien thought. But who knows, he might be thinking way too much.
"Forgive me for what I said earlier."
Mathew started and Damien glanced at him. Mathew threw his face away, not because he wanted to concentrate on the road, but ---
"I was just saying that, you didn't have to spend that much to impress these girls. I'm sure that you know how much an hour cost in the hotel let alone the whole day."
"Who told you that they would be spending the whole day?"
Damien shot at him. Mathew took the risk of gazing upon him. He laughed softly.
"Look at me here scared that you didn't know what you are doing. It was funny to think that you would waste your money on girls you might never even be able to touch. I had no idea that it was the BMX girls until I saw them... you could had given me a heads up..."
"They will spending a month."
"Yes... that's what I tho---"
At the realization of Damien's words his eyes widened.
"Wait... what! One month?! You are kidding aren't you?"
He pushed the break without warning and the tire screeched. That pushed the both of them forward and affected the limo.
"Do you want to die?"
Damien was moved. He looked to his back at once, as though he could tell just by looking through the window that the girls were fine.
"I could throw out of the car right now!"
His face was fiery.
"I'm so sorry, boss. I was wrong... what I heard was just too much for me to ---"
"Concentrate on whatever job I give to you and don't push it. Else..."
He held back the remaining words. The silence which succeeded the 'else' was enough warning for him.
"I'm sorry."
Mathew muttered again. Damien allowed himself to calm down for a while. He didn't want to lose it because of something that little.
It was natural for Mathew to be stunned after he heard that the girls would be in the hotel for a month. He had never told Mathew what he does or how he made his money. He didn't find a reason to do so.
"But I would love to know ---"
Mathew choked on his words. The poor man wanted to ask a lot of questions and Damien didn't seem to care.
Damien didn't need to be told that if they kept quiet through the ride, Mathew would be tempted to speak again. And that time, he might be tempted to pluck out his lungs through his neck with his barehand.
"Why the fuck did you almost killed me with your calls. What was it that you wanted to say?"
"Ehm... yes."
It was as though a big burden was heaved off Mathew's shoulders. He could now breathe freely. He had the chance to talk again. Words were like the oxygen he breathed.
"I don't think it's something we can talk about here. How about you get home, freshen up and ---"
Mathew noticed that he could feel the side of his face getting hot. He wasn't sure what was happening until he looked to his side and saw Damien glaring.
"Okay, Okay. I'll say it here."
BETTER.
Mathew started,
"But you don't have to worry. You own the group... you can choose who to keep or yank off. But I don't think that it's a good idea to keep the board. While I was in the room with them, I could feel darkness oozing from their ---"
"We'll keep them!."
"Huh? What!"
Mathew looked like he'd been shot. He almost made the mistake which he did earlier.
"That's the only way things would get interesting, you dummy. If they are hiding something, how would you find out if you are aloof? Haven't you heard of keeping your enemy closer?"
"You might be right, but don't you think that that might jeopardize the..."
While he spoke, Damien brought out his phone and dialed a number.
"I mean who wouldn't know to keep and play safe when the ---"
"Hey... I should be at the hotel in few minutes, you would receive some guests. Treat them the best way. Give them all they ask for. The best function of the hotel... VIP treatment."
"Alright Mr Damien."
Elisa said over the speaker.
"But may I know the status of this guests so that I could ---"
"Elisa... you would love them."
"I'm excited for no reason, Mr Damien. Alright, I'll get to work now. I hope I won't be disappointed."
Damien hung the call.
"Who did you just talk to, Boss? Don't tell me that ---"
Damien looked to his back, his eyes glowed, and through the help of that, he could see through the tinted glass, to the nine girls whose lips were moving...
