He turned to see a young lady. Beautiful, long legged, smooth and rich milk skin, beautifully carved lips, dressed formally and a super nice scent exuding from her body, canvassing her femininity charisma and richness.
"Who let you in?"
The lady repeated the question. Damien was offended. Not because the lady stopped him and asked the question. It was because she stopped him from checking out the beautiful and breathtaking hall because of such a petty question?!
"Should that be the question?"
Damien corrected her. The lady chuckled. She had a killer smile too. She took two steps closer to him. She had ego scribbled on her gaze.
SHE LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THOSE SPOILT BRATS WHO HAD NO HARD TIME RACING THEIR WAYS TO WEALTH.
Damien concluded, just by the observation and hypotheses he had just gathered.
"I'm not sure you know where you are or whom you are speaking to."
WHY DO I LIKE ALMOST EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LADY? HER VOICE, LIPS, HEIGHT, BUSTS... DAMIEN, FUCKING CONCENTRATE.
"I don't think that's important. Neither should you know who I am... because the experience would be ugly."
Damien took a pause, heaving a mild sigh.
"Now if you would excuse me, I'm here for business."
He turned away from the lady to walk away. Suddenly he heard a cackle behind him. A laugh inspired by mockery. He turned. The lady was sniggering, one of her hands over her mouth as she tried to keep it contained.
Damien felt really offended this time. He was tempted to walk back to her, grab her face and land two punches in her face: one, up her chin, two on her nose. Then he'd see how beautifully she would look having lost half of her teeth.
But he just couldn't bring himself to it. He had such a soft spot for ladies. But he wasn't sure how long he could hold unto this. If the lady continued this way, he wouldn't have no other choice.
At that time, when he walked back to her, he wasn't seeing a beautiful lady anymore. He was seeing an orangutan dressed in suits; he was blind to her beauty now, all he could see was her trashy character.
"I think you really need me to explain where the fuck you are. And who the fuck is standing before you."
She took a pause.
"But before then, I don't think you're worth having my saliva wasted on you. You looked like you broke you way in."
She looked him from head to toe.
"Can't you see how dressed you are? Or should bring you a mirror? Are you some sort of houseboy... running errands for some big men?"
"What am I saying... even the ministers and presidents have taste when choosing their maids and chefs."
Damien sighed, dropping his head. When he looked back up at her, he tutted.
"You have two more minutes to tell me why I'm standing before you."
He took a moment to look around.
"Why is this place like this? It looks like a graveyard. How could a reception hall be this empty? Do you guys put corpses here. Is this some sort of disguised morgue?"
The lady raised her hand and struck Damien in the face.
"Watch your mouth, else I'll be forced to throw you out of this place!"
"Why the fuck am still standing here, having a talk with you... you like shit."
She took a pause, scrubbing her palm with her fingers.
"You want to know who I am?"
She brought out a card and turned it to Damien. Before Damien could read she had continued,
"I'm Sarah Colton. I'm sure you have heard that name somewhere. The name Colton... so, if you really love your life, you would drop on your knees, grapple at my..."
She shook her head.
"No, you aren't even worthy of grappling at my feet. You hands are too filthy to touch my fine legs."
Damien wanted to laugh. He found the lady quite interesting. The manner she talked was annoying and offending but there was something else which he was checking out.
The slap came as a shock, but it did nothing to him. He already had a plan for the lady.
"And I am the secretary to the manager of this hotel, Mr Shelton."
ALL THIS TALK FOR A SECRETARY?
MR COLTON'S RELATIVE BEING THE SECRETARY OF THIS HOTEL?
IF MR COLTON IS SO POWERFUL, SHOULDN'T HIS RELATIVE BE THE MANAGER OF THIS PLACE?
UHMM, NO DOUBT THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE ON THE LIST. I MUST BE THE GREATEST OF THEM ALL.
"Manager of this hotel? Then who manages the Estate? I think Mr Shelton does that?"
That was the only thing Damien picked from the lady's words.
"Am I a joke to you? Why do you ask questions that you are not worthy of? Huh? Like you could ever --"
Damien shook his head.
"I was headed there before you stopped me. Even if I would have a use for you, you should pay for your running mouth."
With her hair fisted in his palm, he pulled her in the direction of Mr Shelton's office. The system map led him to an elevator which took them to the 22nd floor.
They stepped out.
"Let go of me... you turd... let go..."
"Why is this bitch so loud... don't you know that senators and presidents live here?"
The map stopped at the door of Shelton's office.
"Let go now... I need to use my card to open the door."
"Your card?"
Damien suddenly remembered.
"Are you trying to make a fool of me? Only Shelton has the card to his own office. Which means, he's the only one who could open the door."
The lady was so surprised that she couldn't find her words. She had no idea how the shit-looking Damien knew that.
"I have to give a call..."
Damien eased the pressure and let her give the call. As soon as she made the call, the door beeped and then opened.
The lady ran into the office,
"Mr Shelton, there is a lunatic here. Please call the cops."
Shelton who seemed busy with something said,
"Excuse me, gentlemen. I'll be back in five minutes."
Shelton muted the call then looked up, from the secretary to Damien who had just strutted in.
"Are you the one I'm going to talk to if I want to buy this estate? The hotel included."
"What!"
The secretary exclaimed, Shelton jumped on his feet.
